This makes the third weekend we've missed church.  Why, do you ask?  Well I could give a list of reasons, but will any of them add up if I were standing in front of the Big Guy (meaning, God).  Ok, enough said on that one. 

The DH is out getting all the leaves up in anticipation of a storm, which may come our way.  I haven't heard we're to get bad weather, but it seems like everytime his home town area of IL gets it, we get it a couple days later.  But, if I look at the forecast for this week, we're to get rain and wind, and that's it. 

Need to call the DD and find out where she is at, she stayed over with our friends last evening and babysat their children for them.  I expected her to come in early this morning, along with my eldest DD.  My eldest typically drops in on Sunday mornings after she gets off shift.  Sometimes, she crashes in her old bed because she is too tired to make the trip home, bless her. 

I'm finding myself eating more wisely over the last couple days, and am pleased with the foreward motion in the right direction!  I am also starting to feel a bit better.  You are what you eat, for sure!

I bought my Christmas cards, and typically create a family newsletter to go with it.  I have to admit, I have not done one since the death of my grandfather.  He's been gone for three years now.  My grandmother and I were visiting the other day and she said she could not believe he has been gone for three years.  Mom and I looked at one another and she caught the look and wanted to know what was going on.  So, mom gently reminded her he'd been gone three years.  Grandma got tears in her eyes and I reached over and held her.  She sure misses her Johnnie, and we do too.  I think this year, I will create the newsletter.  I think its time.  I want to celebrate my daughter's last year of high school and post her beautiful graduation picture. 

I'm watching a jewelry channel and am proud of my determination not to pick up the phone.  Some of the pieces are gorgeous, LOL.  My mom is getting hooked on watching HSN.  My SIL got her hooked when she was up visiting from FL.  My SIL has been buying from them for years.  She is such a kicker, I love her and enjoy hanging out with her so much.  Wish we all were closer, but it was such a nice visit with them.

  I totally agree ... you are what you eat.  I started paying attention to nutrition years ago and noticed that I hardly ever get sick ... am sure good food plays a role!
