A Day Of Rest

This is the youngest member of our family, Sam.  I got to hold him during the party held for my niece's birthday on Sunday.  She turned 14, yikes!  And, I can't believe he's getting so big!  He makes me giggle the way he will look at you.  He is still not sure about me.  For some reason he just stares and stares at me.  Lil Sam has to have a procedure done on his eyes.  His tear ducts need to be opened, so they will do something with a needle.  It sounds ghastly, but they say necessary.  I just don't want to know anymore and would probably punch someone if they hurt this lil guy.  I told my niece, he's got the "snob look" down pat, LOL.  He sure is our joy.

I took the exam last night, and deleted yesterday's complaint entry.  By the time I was finished with the test, I felt like my neck had gone out and my entire back was stiff.  I was that uptight.  Then she had the nerve to hold us an additional hour, everyone just groaned in agony.  As I was walking out with my classmates, I said to one - "Wonder how many of us will retain any of the material she just went over?"  He said, "I wonder if any of us passed the exam?"  We both laughed, but it was the general concensus of our group.  And the fact, the instructor rushes through the material too quick and won't allow time for questions.  For those that are struggling, and I mean really struggling they will fail or drop the course.  We started out with 30 students, and are now down to six.  Amazing.  I will pass this course, but I doubt I passed last night's exam.

Decided to take another day off today.  My youngest daughter has a doctor's appointment and I will go with her today.  She has had successive head aches going on for about a week now.  I want to see about her getting a referral to an allergist.  I personally think she eats too many carbs.  She is my pasta queen.  She loves pasta.  I tried explaining to her that carbs break down to sugars and her levels may be off and this might be contributing to the headaches, but what does mom know.  Anyhow, hopefully today's appointment will bring some relief to what's causing them.  Her eyes are checked out fine, so its not the facts she needs glasses.  This is the season for blooms, thus the reason I think its allergy related.  But what does mom know.  LOL

Going to look at some properties with my sister and BIL today.  Hoping the husband will make it back in time.  He has to take a trip to Annandale VA on a job site.  I really wanted him to be with me so we can come to a collective decision.

Decided to just take the entire day and relax after this weekend being so stressful.  I want to go out and enjoy some of this beautiful sunshine, even though the air has a bite of cold to it.  It is going to be a beautiful day.  It already is.

    Hi Lynne,
I don't think Sam looks "snobby' ... he looks sort of pensive, like he's evaluating the situation.  He has a real smart look to him, too.  The eye thing sounds scary ... poor kid.  I've heard of this tear duct thing before, am guessing/hoping it's a somewhat standard procedure even if it does sound scary.
    Best,
    Marty

    your nephew is adorable!!

maybe your daughter isn't drinking enough water? and she's dehydrated causing the headaches? just a thought, hope the doctor can find out what's wrong

my sister used to live in Annandale; now for 2 years she and her husband are in the Netherlands for his job; beautiful area back there

glad the exam is over for you; the teacher needs to stop and see if perhaps she's teaching effectively if so many are dropping out of her class; she has to notice don't you think?

    enjoy the day
