Tigers On A Roll, A's Starting Into Trouble
The Detroit Tigers have capped off a 8-5 win last night over the Oakland Athletics. The Tigers are on a roll winning 5 straight in the playoffs. Yep that is right, The Detroit Tigers haven't lost since Game 1 of the ALDS. The Tigers have rolled over the Yankees and are starting out right against the A's with a 2-0 series lead.
Other than this news there is some bad news, Cory Lidle had passed the morning of game day yesterday. He was flying a plane when the communication was broken up with airspace and then the plane went out of wack and it smashed into a high-rise in New York City. Of course the NY citizens were freaked out because the thought of terrorists came to mind but they soon found out that wasn't the case. Having played for the A's some former teammates were upset because they had lost a good friend they have played with. So they were prbably not as focused last night but if they were they probably played their guts out in memory of Cory Lidle. Cory Lidle, dead at 34 years of age.
But the Oakland Athletics still have other problems. Being down 2-0 in the ALCS there is a known fact by every team that no team has ever came back to win the ALCS when trailing the series 2-0. There is one player who still has high hopes and think he knows for sure they can come back. Milton Bradley is confident and knows they can come back, Quote""We've been chasing uphill all season. We've just got to continue to do it." End Quote. Sounds like he is confident and confidence is a positive thing. But there is another interesting series going down. The Cardinals and Mets are facing off in the NLCS and whoever wins will play the Tigers or the Athletics in the World Series. I hope it will be a Mets-Tigers World Series.
