Hearing A3, Sinking
Hi folks -- first off, there is going to be very little (read: none) AIM Pages-specific material in this blog entry; it's a Halloween followup entry, continuing on my Halloween, Phase 1 entry from yesterday. (I'd planned on blogging Phases 2 and 3 as I went along yesterday, but that didn't quite work out.)
So, when last we left it, I'd gotten some ghoulish makeup from my teammate Amy (AmyLARPer).
Along the way, we added some greenish blotches. Here, you can see pretty much the finished makeup, along with three of my AOL Community teammates:
As an aside, with the baseball cap on, I think I look kind of like one of the Baseball Furies from The Warriors.
There are a bunch more photos I took of the ladies (sorry, I guess the proper term is "dames"); you can see them in my AOL Pictures public gallery (AOL Pictures: New features! Unlimited photo storage for use in your blog, AIM Pages profile, MySpace page, e-mails, wherever! All free! Try it today!)
Phase 2 of the costume deployment involved abusing company resources (the color printer, though I bought my own sticker paper), to print out some decals that I'd made up -- these were for sticking to my costume, which was an old white Tyvek jumpsuit:
I'd brought my own supplies and followed one of the many fake blood recipes online:
Anyway, put it all together, add a few props and that was my costume -- a radioactively reanimated zombie:Just for the record, I am not anti-nuclear power. With emerging new technologies, it may be a viable, non-greenhouse gas emitting alternative for generating power. I just wanted to be a radioactive zombie.
So, anyway, that was my Halloween. I'm going to try to create and embed a woohoo pictures widget for my profile (the new AOL Pictures lets you create a woohoo directly from the picture picker), so I'll let you know how that goes.
Okay, Halloween is over. Back to AIM Pages news and updates soon.
Thanks -- Joe

This is in Carol's cubicle. Click the photo to see it in my AOL Pictures public gallery.

You can't really see it here, but I mention two nuclear power plants: Shoreham (which never went into commercial operation) and Springfield Nuclear Power Plant from The Simpsons.
I'd brought my own supplies and followed one of the many fake blood recipes online:
Corn syrup, food coloring and the finished product. Also, you can see the stage makeup in front.

With regards to pictures, I recently tried out the <a href="http://modules.aimpages.com/m
oddirus/moduleDetail?module=fo todex&category=user&sort=Title">fotodex module</a> from <a href="http://www.coedit.co.uk/portf olio/aimpages/">Coedit</a> and it is pretty nice - a little flashier than the standard gallery and it worked just fine with both my Flickr and AOL Pictures feeds.
