Module Directory Search Is Live

Hi folks -- good news: This morning, the team installed a new, much-needed enhancement to the Module Directory (also known as the Module Gallery) -- Module Search:

It's pretty straightforward -- just type the search terms that describe the module you're looking for and hit Search.

For example, say I was looking for the Visitors module, which shows you the most recent visitors to your profile. I do a search on "visitors", and the first result returned is the Visitors module:

Module search will check words in the title, description, and author fields. For example, searching on Lawver finds the 20 modules that Kevin Lawver has built.

Having module search makes me happy, since before, if I wanted to write about a particular module and I wasn't sure what category it was in, I would have to go into the alphabetical listing and browse around -- even if I knew its name. It was a pain.

I hope you find Module Search as useful as I do.

Thanks -- Joe
