Subject: MY JOURNEY IS ABOUT TO BEGIN
Time: 5:52:00 PM EST
Author:  ajuddinafrica

Dear Friends,

The time is almost here: I depart in less than a week for my second trip as YouthAIDS' Global Ambassador, and as I did in Southeast Asia, I will be keeping a daily diary on this site.

As we travel, photographs will be posted in my diary on AOL. *The link for my previous diary is still available too on www.youthaids.org!

We'll be in Kenya, Madagascar, and South Africa. I will visit and work at programs aimed at transient workers, miners, young people in schools, commercial sex workers, and many, many others. I will also see our companion anti malaria programs, of which I know I will be very proud. PSI/YouthAIDS is awesome and in Kenya, in particular, they've won awards and citations for innovative and effective prevention work.

I am looking forward to meeting the incredible people who work at the grassroots level every day of their lives, and am as prepared as a person can be for the grim reality of 25 million HIV infected people, the vast majority of whom don't have access to medicine...which means not prepared at all. How could anyone be? I’ll just pray my prayers, do my yoga, and preach the gospel of empowerment and prevention.

I am pretty fired up to go love on some beautiful people and make life long friends, as I did in Cambodia and Thailand. I am so grateful for this opportunity. Naturally, your prayers and support in consciousness are radically welcome!

Love,

Ashley

Some people think that celebritiies are just doing stuff for publicity. I think what you are doing for the people in africa with aids is great!! I would like  nothing more than to be able to help people for a better cause.keep it up!I remember you doing this before and my hats off to you for repeating yourself and not being a one time helper!

i have read several of your articles and i will say this God is with each and every one of the people you have met and not met.  With every day that passes remember that while he's holding their hand through their hardships, he's smiling down on you and casting a rainbow along the way for you to follow. That rainbow will always lead you with open arms and a warm heart and because of that you will be blessed and so will the others.  Be well Ashley

1st .. I think Ashley Judd is a FOX,regardless of what anyone else thinks or say's.
If, she will take time out to do what she has done to help others, like what I just read, then, those who like to BROAD-CAST their thought's, should TRY doing what she has DONE.

    "THAT"S ALL FOLK"S

I, for one, am very thankful that you are keeping this diary.  I have already learned so very much, and you've touched my heart deeply by describing all you've seen and experienced.  I know that I will never be able to do the kinds of things you are doing, but the Lord knows that I am with you in spirit.  If I could, I would surely do everything in my power to help.   I'll be here reading your journal from beginning all the way to end, in a way walking the journey with you.
    Much love, Anna
