Feeling Sad

Random Thoughts

First of all, I recieved a call from the Tonight Show.  The comedy segment that I shot at Tuft's University will not air on the Tonight Show afterall.  They feel I'm not funny enough to be a regular correspondent.  That's okay though, as I'm doing well with my podcast and of course, my blog.  Anyway, let's get to some random thoughts.

My hometeam of the Boston Celtics opened the NBA season with a victory.  Paul Pierce finished with a very good game, and he spread the ball around.  If Pierce can do that for the rest of the year, then he will step up to the elite talent in the NBA

The Lakers also got off with a 1-0 start this season.  Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson seemed to be on the same page.  The Lakers got a strong performance from the supporting cast in their opening game though.  As I posted in my NBA Preview, if the Lakers get strong performances from their bench, and from guys like Lamar Odom, then they will have a good season.  If Kobe is their only scoring option, then they will struggle.

Sean McAdam stated on my podcast that the Red Sox will send about 5 guys from their front office to represent them in the GM meetings.  The GM meetings is where groundwork is laid for potential trades.  The five guys representing the Red Sox will take notes, and hand their ground work to the next GM.  It still would've been easier if Larry Lucchino could've kept himself out of the player transactions.....

The Colts and Peyton Manning have been fantastic this year.  This Monday night, the Colts and Patriots square off in Foxboro.  This is going to be a huge test for Manning, as he has never beaten Tom Brady and the Patriots in New England.  If the Colts can get past the Patriots in Foxboro, then this year is different.  If they can't, then Peyton Manning still can't beat the Patriots, even if the Pats have second string players starting in all major defensive positions.

Sorry for the brief column, I just feel a little down after I heard my segment won't appear on the Tonight Show.  Thank you to the loyal readers of my blog for always sticking with me and always reading my blog.

I wouldn't sweat that Tonight Show thing... Leno hasn't been funny in 10 years, unless the camera is on a profile shot of that absurd chin of his.

I bleed green and never want to put anything agaisnt Boston Sports teams, however the comment about Pierce becoming "elite talent in the nba" is absurd, off the top of my head i can think of five better shooting guards.. Kirk Hinrich(bulls) Vince Carter (nets) Richard Hamilton (Pistons) Dwayne Wade (heat) Micheal Redd (bucks), and those are only from the eastern conference. Before making a comment like u should get ur facts about other players in the NBA. Thank you and if you would like to comment back my e-mail is Sivo630@aol.com
