Feeling Chillin'
Give him a chance
He's going to become a rapper, a lifelong prostitute. He's not going to get that Detriot brawl out of his mind. Fans will boo him out of the building, it will be a circus. Tell that to Ron Artest....
It's pretty hard to google search Ron Artest and find pictures that have nothing to do with that Detriot brawl. This is a country of people giving other people second chances. After a season where Artest was suspended for most of the time, he's turned it around this year. 17.7 points a game, and he's playing extremely tough defense. Artest has always been credited one of the best defensive players in the game, but this year that's all you hear about him. Sure, the Pacers are only three games into the season, but Artest hasn't said or done anything stupid yet. I am pretty sure that's better than last year.
Artest's future is in slight question though. On an interview with Sports Bloggers Live, Artest stated that he doesn't know if he's going to play next year. If Artest walks, the NBA is losing a very gifted athlete. As I mentioned, this offseason Artest has helped out with the hurricane hit areas, he's focused on his rap, and he practiced until he got his old skill back. We don't really know Artest, he has an extremely short temper, but so do many athletes. Artest did go to anger managment this offseason, and maybe his anger has changed. I only bash athletes when they do something stupid, like bash their quarterback (Terrell Owens) but I think you deserve a second chance. I just wish some other people, mostly in the media feel the same way...........
