The subject matter of this film is a bit harsh and not for everyone im completely sure.
But I believe this is a good film anyhow , for what its worth.
Released October 27th in the US.
Filmed in New York.
The story : Three small time drug addicts decide to give a try at making it big for themselves , dealing drugs while using their own supply.
But this only sends them deeper into addiction , along the lines of disturbing despair and destruction.
All the while , one of them's mother becomes addicted to diet pills due to a dream of being on television.
Stars Ellen Burstyn , Jared Leto , Marlon Wayans , Christopher McDonald , Jennifer Connelly , Louise Lasser , Marcia Jean Kurtz , Janet Sarno , Suzanne Shepherd , Joanne Gordon , Charlotte Aronofsky , Mark Margolis , Michael Kaycheck , Chas Mastin , Jack O'Connell
Directed by Darren Aronofsky
Rated R

if you liked the movie check out the book, by herbert selby, jr.
he also wrote 'last exit to brooklyn'.
the thing i liked about this movie is that it drove the point home that in our country there are acceptable addictions (tv, food, rx drugs) and unacceptable ones (heroin) but in the end they are both equally destructive.
visit the rant anytime.
