Las Vegas News: Palazzo Opens, McFadden's Pub Opens at the Rio, Mamma Mia Extended

The Palazzo Hotel finally opened after over 2 years of construction. It's located between the Venetian and the Wynn Las Vegas. It's also now the tallest hotel on the Las Vegas strip. It's not really an extention of the Venetian but more of an addition. It's not as fancy as the Venetian but has more of an understated elegance.

Over at the Rio All-Suites Hotel the newest addition to the exciting nightlife scene is McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon. Billed as the "Wildest Irish Pub on Earth," they have over 7000 square feet of dancing and dining. Featuring over 20 high-def TV's and a 100 foot long bar, it's the perfect place for a night out! Open 7 days a week, from 11 AM until whenever.

Mamma Mia! has extended it's record-breaking run for another year until January 4, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay . It's the longest running Broadway show to ever play on the Las Vegas strip.

After a weeks-long restoration, the famed aqaurium in the Mirage Hotel lobby has finally re-opened. There's now over 1000 kinds of marine life among the 20,000 gallons of undersea life. The display is now larger & more well lit with makes it a striking visual as you check in!

The Orleans Arena hosted the final stop of the 2008 AVP Hot Winter Nights Volleyball Tour. The arena will transform into a sandy beach to accomodate the event. Some of the top volleyball players including Kerri Walsh, Jake Gibb, Elaine Youngs and Stein Metzger will compete in a round-robin format in teams of two.
