I got to give my lovely baby niece her first bath the other day, and while the pictures of that aren't loaded yet, I thought I would share this one because I love it so much.

In other news, my sister in law (the Indiana ones) & family have been in town, so we have been spending quality (and not so quality) time with them. This included a visit to Natural Bridge Caverns, where it was supposed to be 20 degrees cooler inside the cavern. ::pause:: Yeah, not so much. We were soaked in sweat. Gross, gross, gross! We add onto the fun of that with the fact that Alex was not doing very well with that heat and humidity and proceeded to vomit inside the cavern. Yes, the cavern that they tell you not to touch anything because you will kill thousands of years worth of rock formations. Good times, good times.

After 18 hours of helacious labor, awful pain, and tearing really badly....my niece gave us the most beautiful child........

Say hello to Arazely Faith. Born To Be Spoiled, indeed.

She weighed 9 lbs 1.3 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?

I was checking out Lori's Dusty Pages and she did a cute meme....and you know....what else have I got to do right now besides dishes. Meh.

If you came to my house…

You would see: A bunch of barking dogs greeting you at the front door. and a well lived in house. (This is the new PC term for 'messy', is it not?)

I’d probably feed you: Tacos! The local meat market has this yummy steak....and once you fry it up with some onion and chop it into little pieces, it is To Die For. I make mine on fried (soft) corn tortillas - but they're little mini sized.....so you'll be eating alot..... oh, and then it's topped with some chopped onion and cilantro. good stuff - who's hungry?!

And offer you this to drink: Coke, of course. It really is true about Texans. If you go into a restaurant, and ask for Coke, the waitress says 'Coke Coke? or Dr Pepper, Sprite, Big Red <gag>, etc Coke?' Everything is Coke. LOL Oh yeah.....and tequila. That's right, biotches....quit your crying and grab a lime.

I’d undoubtedly ask if you’d read: any good menus lately. All about the food, people!!!

I’d want to play this music for you: some Tejano music is easy to find, and it would go with the whole Texas theme, although I'd see what party music I would find.

I’d want to tell you about: how if you let my cats out, I'll beat you down and call you dirty names.

I’d probably suggest a game of: whatever game we could play. A couple shots of tequila makes game playing harder. Pictionary? LOL

I would definitely show off: my boobs?

I might get on the computer and show you: Pictures of my family. Don't let Jesse get you on there with him. You will never leave. You will be glued to YouTube right along with him.

If it was a long enough visit, we might watch: the sun come up. But hopefully we're passed out by then.

So. Who's coming to my house?!

Well.....maybe some people do, but you should at least have the decency to be ashamed of yourself!!!

Oh.....okay....so y'all know how the pants/shorts/jeans that are out there sit lower on the hip, right? This works okay for me, 'cause I got me some child-bearin' hips....... but then comes the problem that when you bend over......unless you happen to be wearing a long shirt......everybody and their mother sees your underwear (or....whatever.)

Alot of y'all know about Ryan's ex-boyfriend drama. You know.....that guy we renamed 'Jackass'.

Well.

We thought he was finally gone.

But this past week, he's been texting her and calling her. Of course she doesn't answer.....and his texts have been very obnoxious...(and really bipolar....'how are you baby?' and 10 minutes later 'whats going on, slut?')...so she doesn't reply to those either, but....... did you know T-Mobile doesn't have a text block option? Ugh..... IDIOTS!

Anyway, Ryan does not feel comfortable about it, but you know? What to do. The boy's parents give a rats' ass about him, so talking to the parents is pointless (and actually, I don't think I want to because...erm.....I think his parents might be.....unkind to him).......

She can bring home the bacon....

My baby has a J-O-B.

and.........she loves it. She's working at the same mall
I worked at when I was her age. She comes out the same exit I used to. She eats on her break at the same food court that I used to. (Jesse worked at the same mall, but he worked at Sears, so...you know....different exit...)

My blossoming beauty...

In other news, there have been parties and visits and blah blah blah....and I am tired. BUT.....not too tired to be on call for my niece who will be having her baby ANY DAY NOW! AURGH....I am so excited, I can barely contain myself.

Here's Ryan's new baby. Sparky. He's adorable. He only eats vegetables and plants. He has to have a heat lamp. He doesn't like his daily baths.

Gee....it's like he's a real kid.

She loves him to bits.

(He's an Eastern Hermann Tortoise for anybody wondering)

I occasionally babysit when she is out. Hee.......

.........but the caboose is seriously lagging.

I'm still alive, but life gets busy sometimes.

I've had a ridiculous amount of graduations to attend....

.......parties to plan, parties to attend.....

.........nieces and nephews to entertain.....

.........insane amounts of food to cook.........

........and more recently, a dog whom we suspect has bone cancer.

(let's add my discontentment at my weight into the mix, shall we? Why not...)

I've said it before.....and I'll say it again. Meh.
