Seeing that it's my job to watch viral videos all day (Mom, Dad -- the film degree is finally paying off!) actually getting to meet some of these asses geniuses who create and market these videos is a bit odd for me. I mean, what if I meet
Gary "Numa Numa Kid" Brolsma and we have nothing to talk about -- except euro-techno-pop? Or what about Judson "Evolution of Dance Guy" Laipply? Do I just moonwalk over and try to impress him? And what if Marco "Cell Phone Magician" Tempest asks for my phone to do a trick and then calls Australia? G'Day!

Regardless -- it's all gonna go down at the Viral Videos Live! show. Sure, it may sound like the world's worst ice skating show idea, but it's gonna be a good time. I'll be sure to capture some video at the show so I can tag it as "viral video from the show about viral video stars who are in viral videos shown at the viral video show!"

Okay, two words -- Mario Cantone. I totally forgot how funny he is and now that I'm seeing him live in Vegas (get yourself some tickets), I'm psyched again. Below is a clip from Chappelle (by the way, bad news from fest about Chappelle -- read here) with Cantone answering some "As a Gay Dude" questions.

Okay folks -- headphones on. This is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

I'm planning my week at TCF and really, just can't wrap my head around this show:

PUPPET UP! ADULTS ONLY
The Jim Henson Company's renowned puppeteers demonstrate what
happens when traditional comedic improvisation is mixed with the
uninhibited anarchy of live puppet performance.
Not your average night of improv and definitely not for children

Those of you who know me (I know you're out there) know that I have "crazy issues" with things meant for children being placed in <wipe forehead> adult situations. What? Well, stuff like folks in sexy elf or Santa suits, Barbies and GI Joes in compromising positions and Peeps being, well, I don't know what but it all gives me the creepy jeebies.

So, we'll see how this show works out. I still haven't seen Avenue Q (also in Vegas -- eek) and chances are this "
uninhibited anarchy of live puppet performance" will throw me over the edge. See you in hell.

We're Going to Comedy Fest! <send help>

Okay -- we're going to the Comedy Festival in Vegas. Now, since you elected to stay home and watch Grey's Anatomy, you loser, starting this Wednesday we'll be blogifying from parties, shows, juggling competitions, David Copperfield's secret lair (fingers crossed) and an "adult puppet performance." <shudder>

Now, you're probably asking "what the bedazzler happens at a comedy festival?" Hell if we know! But if we get harassed by mimes and stuff, we're totally taking an early flight.

In all seriousness (right) the folks at TCF (that's what you call it when you're "in the comedy know") have been gems, promising us "good times" and "tickets -- maybe." So, we're set. We'll be blogging with our friends at AOL Vegas who have more famous friends than we do, so we'll totally be their Tara Reid, if you know what we mean.

Until then, check out Marco Tempest -- the cell phone magician! We'll be hanging with this "tube celeb" in Vegas. He has the best accent and makes us say "hmmmm."

You Love Cats

One thing is for sure ... you love cats. Especially cats that do things that are oddly human, like using the toilet and -- apparently -- writing the new Phillip Glass album.

Around The Emmys in 30 Seconds

Because You-Tubers don't have time to sit for three hours straight, we'd like to give you the Emmys 2006 wrap up in about half a minute. We'll link to the highlight reels if you really feel like sitting around for those extra three or so minutes, but since there are plenty of cat-dancing videos to get to, let's make this quick.

First of all, if you check out NBC's site for the Emmys, you'll notice their webmasters think the evening can be pared down to two minutes -- the two-minute acceptance speech for NBC's 'The Office' winning best-comedy series.

Notice how Stephen Marchant, co-creator of the original British version of 'The Office,' came deftly dressed in character, as if he just got off of a 17-hour shift at the paper mill.

During the "moving tribute" to Aaron Spelling, three of the original Charlie's Angels cast members -- Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcet and Jaclyn Smith reunited. Of course, the award in everyone's mind was: "Winner of the best face work on an original Charlie's Angel" which clearly went to Jaclyn Smith.

In case you haven't heard, Stephen Colbert got served by Barry Manilow for "best Performance in a Variety Program." Manilow should have also won for "Best Golden Girl 'do," but sadly that category was overlooked.

Oh, and Conan opened up with the a bit in which he appeared on several different TV shows. Take a look at the 'South Park' shot, you get the idea.
