Feature Tip : Printing Pictures - Local Printing

 Printing Pictures Using Your Printer

We have a few different ways you can print pictures.  One way is using the professional Print Store.   However, in this update I will share two other methods.

The first method is to download the album to your local machine, then use your favorite application to print the pictures.      E.g. suppose you received an album of pictures from your friend,  and you want to print them onto postcards.  Download pictures using the “Actions > Save to My Computer” option.   This will download the pictures to your “My Pictures” folder, then you can print them out (and do other things!).

The second method is to use the built in Print function.  This is real easy to use… Just select the album, then hit the “Print” button.   You’ll get a print option list,  which you can use to print different sizes (e.g. wallet prints), as well as set the number of copies of each print.

Try it out, and get printing today!

Andrew - thanks for your comments!  Glad you like the product.
Right now, when you access pictures in the 9.0 client, you will get the older version. We are working on a plan to change that, so 9.0 users will get the new version right away.    This will likely change in a couple of months.
In the meantime, the best way to access it is to add a new toolbar icon that links to pictures.aol.com (goto http://pictures.aol.com, then drag the fav place heart icon from the browser window to the toolbar, and it will create a toolbar button for you).      Or go to www.aol.com and select "Pictures" from their.

Hey! I really like the new AOL Pictures feature, but I do think actually "getting there" could be better. In the AOL client, clicking on Services... then on You've Got Pictures takes me to the old AOL Pictures menu. Is there anything in the works to change the old product to the new product?

Thanks, and keep up the good work!
