A New Way to Share
A new version of AOL Pictures is live - check it out today!
A principal creed we live by here is that photos are meant to be shared, as a social experience. And, we are continuously looking for ways to help you more easily share: how you want and with whom you want. Sharing can be done in many ways, not just sending an album via email.
That said, let me introduce to you (again) the latest features which we have been testing out on AOL Pictures Beta Site as they are now live on the main site. Many great changes have been made for those of you unaware, and they are:
- Create a Public Gallery:
- Too lazy to share your album via email to all those recipients? Simply select the photos you want as public and create your own public photo gallery on the Web.
- Other related features that come along with this:
- Browse Public Galleries
- Tag Your Public Photos
- Comment on Public Photos
- Subscribe to a User’s Photo Gallery
And so much more!
In the coming days, we’ll have special posts devoted to each of these features to help you better understand the benefits of each. But many of you know the benefits already because you requested them or have used them on our Beta site :-)
I’ve shared with you a lot, but hey, we’ve been working hard.
Enjoy.

Is there any way to see what if any comments there are on your pictures, short of checking every picture in your gallery?

Congrats on the launch! I wrote a little piece about it here: http://www.somewhatfrank.com/

Hey guys - you should promote this blog to Pictures visitors that are not signed in. It looks like the link on pictures.aol.com only appears for a signed in user.
But nice work. the product looks good. -
Great design, and some of the most impressive changes I've seen in AOL Pictures in years!
Thanks guys, and I can't wait for the next round of new additions!
