Hugh Laurie Shills for Polaroid

Oh yes, it's true -- that's Dr. House himself, in a vintage ad for Polaroid film. You know, Hugh, it's really hard to destroy Polaroids -- you have to burn 'em. The same must be true for old, embarrassing ads.

I've watched "House" since it started. Love the program. But don't forget he was also "Stuart Little's" adoptive father.

Hugh, That ad is not embarrassing. You should be proud. After all, without it we may not be enjoying our very favorite show "House".

First saw Hugh Laurie while living in England. Everyone should check out the "Blackadder" series with Hugh, Tim McInnery, Stephen Frye (also in the Frye and Laurie series) Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) and the guy who plays Baldrick with the name I can never remember, but who always had a "cunning plan" (Tony ???).
Baldrick was in the John Wayne movie (late 60's/early 70's) that was set in England. Baldrick was riding a motorcycle and drove it into the water.
I noticed the "cunning plan" line in last night"s episode of "House".
The "Dalmation" movies were the first time I had seen Laurie in quite a while (back in the states by then). And yes he was in "Sense and Sensibility" with Hugh Grant and Emma Thompson, -
We love him and the show - don't forget the Damations movie he was in and also an English movie, was it Sense and Sensibility?

Yeah, that ad was nothing. You should see him as Prince George in the Blackadder III series. Or in Jeeves and Wooster. That'd really throw you for a loop if you've only seen him as Gregory House. But it all just goes to prove that he is an incredibly versatile actor. He's perfectly at home in screwball comedy or in drama. He has evolved over the last several years into the leading man type and the transition for him was very smooth. His performance in "Maybe, Baby" with Joely Richardson combines his comedic and dramatic talents. It's not to be missed.
