Katie's First Day on the Job

Picture from Hometown

In her first night as 'CBS Evening News' anchor, Katie Couric talks to NY Times foreign affairs columnist Thomas Friedman about what questions he would ask President Bush and Saddam Hussein.

Finally, Couric compares her first day at her new job to the first day of school many years ago.

How do you think she did? Will you watch again? Get more news and talk about it here.

I`ve always enjoyed listening to her, she always asks the questions that needed to be asked.  I would still watch her even if she were on at 3am.

I am really impressed with your night news show. You look very elegant and, in my opinion, the way a national news figure should look--pulled together and very stylish. Your choice of wardrobe is excellent, please don't change.

Your news subjects, those besides the regular important news stories are very special. I especially enjoyed the Challenge Air coverage.

Please stay classy and don't make the mistake others make of turning the news into a comedy hour. I have become so bored with everyone trying to be a comedian and giving their own personal opinions. Reporting the news is really what most people want to hear. We can form our own opinions.

If you want some other suggestions for wardrobe, I would love to help. It's fun dressing a lady or gentleman who appreciates fine haberdashery.

I did not know that katie's husband died of cancer. So while I do not like her reporting style, My hat goes off to her for taking care of her babbies:(
