OK Go Buy Our Album ... Please?

Picture from Hometown

It's the music video that's been creating tons of buzz -- the band OK Go in a highly choreographed clip featuring some wicked treadmill action, which was reenacted live at MTV's Video Music Awards. But it turns out that all the band's Internet buzz hasn't translated into strong album sales. We break down the case.

Exhibit A: The band's treadmill feat, 'Here It Goes Again,' has been streamed online more than three million times.

Exhibit B: The band's first video, 'A Million Ways,' at last count has been streamed online nine million times in the past year.

The verdict? Digital sales have amounted to about 5,000 units per week, which seems awfully paltry compared to those online numbers.

But if it's any consolation to OK Go, imitation is the highest form of flattery -- and the band's videos have inspired tons of spoofs around the Internet. Our favorite is below.

Well I give Ok Go kudos for the entertaining choreography, but their actually music is just your everyday pop stuff. Nothing really special about it.

So congrats to them having the energy for this.
