Shamu Attacks Trainer

Picture from Hometown

This scary raw footage shows Shamu, SeaWorld's female killer whale, attacking a trainer in San Diego, grabbing the man's foot with her mouth and pulling him underwater several times. According to news reports, it sounds like the trainer will be fine.

HELLO.  This is a killer whale.  Im sure they get sick of doing trained dances for humans.  I mean, humans get sick of doing trained dances for other humans!  Why do we always want to show we can control wild animals?  Then, blame the animal when it acts like an ANIMAL or mammal.

He is famous now, let the poor thing along. God create animals and man on the sixt day. You know some times animal are more smart than human's cause they know until where they can go. Wild animal's they have to kill to eat, but very train animal's i don't think so. That's what i tought. Thank You and God Bless all people who are reading this comment and Remember Jesus Love You.

Just to let people know most of the dolphins and many of the killer whales were not captured, they were bred in captivity and there are strict restrictions on the breeding program for ALL of the marine parks.  Anheuser-Busch spends millions of dollars on marine conservation programs for marine animals that are still living in the wild.  Check it out...  Some of the animals at the park were rescued because they were injured and they were brought in to a recovery program that Anheuser-Busch has.  Some of the animals have to stay because they can never fully recover, while others are released back into the wild.  The animals that are there are used to educate the public on the animals in the park, they don't just do tricks.  They are also very taken care of... they eat restaurant quality food, and if they don't perform, they don't starve.  They are not forced to do anything that they don't want to do.  How could you force such a large animal to do something that they don't want to do?!  They are fed regardless of whether they cooperate.  To them it's play time.  Think of them more like giant puppies, rather than being in jail.  There lifespan is atleast double to that of the mammals in the wild due to pollution and other factors.  How would you rather live, out in the woods, never knowing when and if you'll ever have another meal OR living in a nice area, playing and doing what you want all day long, getting proper medical checkups so you don't even have to worry about getting sick and eating in restaurants for every meal?  Why don't you skeptics go to SeaWorld and check things out before forming an opinion.  An intelligent person gathers ALL the facts before forming an opinion.

If you notice, the whale pulls him under and then brings him up again several times very slowly.  I don't see the big deal, It's not like she drug him under and swam with him.  The guy can hold his breathe for a few seconds.  The whale can hold her breath much longer and could have drowned him if she wanted to, but SHE DIDN"T!
