Feeling Happy
Hearing George Bush singing "HAve NO fear I have pretzels & Beer"

Business is on an upswing-customers getting wilder

Well, I didnt add any entries for a few days....Been under the weather especially when I ran out of immodium furing that horrible storm Sunday, that sent a tornado thru Ridgewood, knocked down a huge amount of trees, made many residents loose their electricty, flooded streets and highways, and literally and figuratively scared the living SH-t out of me.  I thought the roof of HOHOKUS would fly away and land in Kanas with TOTO, AUnty El, and Judy Garland.

I finally went to the Dr for tests , Results are forthcoming, but even with one day of medicine I feel normal, and although I am no longer on the track team, I have stopped running.  OK< enough of anal  retentive talk ( or Tookus Talk)  Today we had a collection of customers.  ONe customer, who came in saying they had no money(a man and a woman) priced have the store...which is ok. BUT, the guy, who was more affectted than NAthan Lane in La Cage AU FAUX, loved everything "TO DEATH" many items were so "Gorgeous...oh, it tortures me"  He touched them, he screamed, and carried on. He made Liberace Butch, ...he asked a million questions, prices. He was tortured by too many items. He put  on a one man show. His alleged girl friend, gave a similar performance, but was more low key. THe show lasted for an hour and one half. He annouced four times they were leaving. They didnt leave....for a very long time, int erfered with other customers. But they were pleasant..OH MY GOD they were so pleasant that I was really tortured. YOu heard of Chinese Water TOrture..This was Queen WOrd TOrture...  I only wish he had the money to buy all the things he wanted.  PLease GOD send peole like that money..Lots of it.

A couple came in to sell me a box of "stuff: I looked into it, and there was nothing there I wanted. I said I am sorry, but I cannt use it. THey said they were not taking it back. They left it and walked out. My dumpster has another donation.
John adn the boys loaded a 24ft truck to drive to Vermont tonight.  A very good and wonderful customer furnished most of her new home with us.SHe thanks us for saving her lots of money....

Recipe of the day...Cous Cous Oriental.   I had some baked  chicken alread cooked. IN an elelctric frying pan I cut up six pieces of legs and thighs..I added  ten or so baby Belgium carrots, two onions cut up in chunky pieces, celery, can of sliced tomatoes and the juice, half a cup of lentils, half an egg plant chopped up,added water to top of chicken. two teaspoons of cinamon(secret ingredient) salt, pepper and 1 teaspoon paprika, a pinch of nutmeg) a few hits of tobasco, a slice of lemon unpeeled, one potoate  and one red pepper.  Letter simmer to everything is soft! Correct salt ,pepper and cinamon at end.  Pour of cooked Cous Cous. Drizzle a bit of virgin olive oil when serving...The stew part should be watery, almost like soup, do not thicken with flour or cornstrach. Serve in soup bowls.  YOu will think you are in Morrocco.  Serve with Pita Bread..  Appetizer of Hummos...will give recipes another time.
