COnfessions of a MAD Antique Dealer

 So we had a great write up in the Bergen Record and the Herald NEWS by a terrific writer named JOAN Verdon...Yesterday we were swamped with sightseers, but today, was dead. Two of the eople came back..I thought they wouod be leaving with goodies,but I guess either they changed their minds, or it takes longer to make a decision. Maybe I am too compulsive...but I guess, I am a quick decision makeer. I bought my house in 10-15min..... I was 23, and the house  was almost ready for the wrecking ball. It had to be completly gutted....and nothing but the bathtub and bannister was saved. NOTHING. The brick walls and the roof remained..Everything else had to be ripped out to the bare walls... What did I know about costs. I figured I could do it all myself. I envisioned the hosue rebuilt, and that gave me the courage, and the hutzpah to make an offer...I bet if I was told right there and then the cost and time it would take to see it move-in-able, I never would have bought it.....but it was a good investment...Yes, I took less time buying a wrecked house, than these peole took to try and make a decision on a small piece of urntiure and a vase?OY, I have no stomach for this ...

It was hot enough to fry bacon and eggs on the sidewalk. And very few people even bothered to come out of the house beucase the house is airconditioned..So is the store, but does half the immediate world know that we are air conditioned? NO>>>>>so they stayed home.

The world is falling apart. The country is divivded into REd and BLUE states. 78% of the people or more, are sick of your administration....There is a war in IRAQ, Afganistan, and there are rebels all over the world causing trouble The TAMILS, In the CONGO< NIGERIA...they are kidnapping babies for ransome, and other African Nations are in civil turmoil, there is genocide in DAFUR, but since there is no oil, BUSh and the rest of the world  do nothing  to help those people...The hypocrisy is beyond disgusting....Why not Bring Democracy, food, hosuing medicine to DAFUR....why, there is no oil..Bush and all his born again retoric means nothing unless there is a profit.AIDS, cancer, water polution, hunger, drought,....cost of medicine and lack of medical care.....are only part of the very import news that shoul dbe in the headlines. BUt what does the media choose to feature:

 tONIGHT i WENT WITH A FEW FREINDS TO charlie browns....HAD A 24OZ PRIME RIB... It was supposed to be medium rare..it came out alive..mooing....they took it abck and it was ok..Very tender, but the taste...just wasnt there. The have a great SALAD Bar.....but after the same thng for many years, it gets boring...Its not them, its ME!  I like different things to try..not the same old stuff...
