the fears that spread among us

like an unstoppable fungus

getting into everything and everywhere

 most people don't even care

to open their eyes

or hear the cries

of those in need

not realizing

the cries their ignore

'are their own.

 

I sit lately, quit quietly

listening for that moment

waiting for that person

hoping to hear that sound

wishing to see a glimpse of hope

a flash of beauty

an instant of inspiration

meet a special soul

or get inspired by an old one

to trigger the energy

building

growing

knowing  that creativity

will again blossom

when the time is right.

 

I am getting very tired of Miss Hilary and OBAMA fighting it out....with all their mud slinging....They should have kept to the issues...They just make the people, Republicans who are on the fence.....remain on the REPUBLICAN side and vote in the OLD MAN, who is a cross between George BUSH JR....and RONALD REAGAN...a senile ass hole, who is angry yet about being a prisoner of war....and is probably a war monger , wanting to get even with anyone that he perceives is an enemy....this can be no other than the continuation of the WAR ON TERROR, the WAR IN IRAQ and Afghanistan,,and he just might,,push it into IRAN. We cannot afford it militarily or economically.

 

There are some of you who do like to know about new items in..and the last few days..it came in by the truck load...TODAY...an outrageous Bedroom French in the LOUIS 14 Style, The mans dresser, the woman's dresser, two lingerie chests, a night stand and carved bed..are all carved and inlaid with rosewood and satin woods and have outrageous marble tops, a great gilt mirror that goes over a strange very low vanity.....

 Tonight we gold a gold plated over bronze, Crystal Chandelier, a kind size bed all carved to death, an oversized vanity and huge oversized mirror also very carved to match the bed....and the carvings are gilded....This was specially ordered by the people in their hometown in TURKEY.....there was also a huge Italian looking bow front and carved buffet about 7 feet long with a carved and shaped mirror that went above it...an oval rosewood table with built in double leaf..and 9 matching carved VICTORIAN STYLE....(sort of Italian VICTORIAN STYLE) and a huge tripple curved glass china cabinet with drawers below the glass....The man offere me a 6 door mirrored armoire...which must have been ten feet wide......on consignment...but I declined...It would have been turned into a HASSIDIC Bungalow Colony in the CAtkills.....just drop it in by helicopter and you have a prebuilt home.  John got home today from ALABAMA where he spent a week visiting his family and getting away from the stressful GRANNYS ATTIC Circus.....He went on two house calls today with MIKE, the first one had some real antiques, but the condition was so bad, that they turned it all down because the people....thought the stuff was rare and valuable.....  The second house was better..they bought a very nice DANISH MODERN DR SET>>mint condition..which I cannot believe I am selling...I used to joke about DANISH MODERN more than 30 years ago when I said, who knows,,,someday this crap might be in....SOMEDAY IS NOW HERE,,,,,,,,,and things we used to sell, is falling out of favor....They also brought in a very nice clean  and simple bow front mahogany bedroom set.......which is also now very much in favor...The used furniture of the 1940s and fifties...are far move sturdy and well made than new expensive crap today.

  When I( got to this home to buy the stuff, there was another dealer there..He mostly buys used furniture, but is NOW going into more expensive items.  I used to buy from him...well, it seems we are always running into each other. In homes, At antique shows, trade shows, restaurants.....and once, I was rushing to get a plane in  Frankfurt Germany.....and literally ran right into him and his family......
