COnfessions of a MAD Antique Dealer

Its hard to accept...and think back to 1980-something when we were just in a 4000 ft shop in MAHWAH, and the old Clifton store, and we didnt more business than now, with two stores with a total of 32,000 sq feet, filled with the most wonderful treasures...that we didn't have back in the day.  We sold more things then on a SAT  or SUNDAY, and at higher prices.   And people have somehow changed.  One witch today priced a cobalt blue piggy bank.....not too large, but cute. I wanted to get rid of it....so I said, "OH, take it for 4 dollars. She made a face, as if she just bit into a dog doodie and yelled back I will give you 2 dollars..  I must tell you, I was infuriated....that I have to fight over pennies...and I said, WE DO NOT BARGAIN LIKE THAT HERE...and she mumbled something....hopefully not a curse that she learned at her last coven meeting......and I don't turn into a frog, or a Republican.  She then stormed out of the store.....extremely quickly.....she was holding her arm kind of funny, and I wouldn't be surprised if the old bat didnt steal something......

I am not going to take a break and eat dinner....some SUSHI, that I just bought at the A&P...and I will be back with more....
