COnfessions of a MAD Antique Dealer

Tonight, I was invited by my friend BArabar, who is deeply involved in politics...to meet(again) Paul Ahronson, who is running for Councilman in Ridgewood. Although, the post of councilman doesn't seem earth shaking, Paul, has been in the public eye for quite some time. He work in Washington....with the CLINTON CAMPAIGN and helped get Bill elected...he worked with Bill Richardson in Washington...when he was Secretary of Energy,,,,and in various other interesting and somewhat important positions... But here in Ridgewood , in his hometown, he wants to help his town be t he best that it can be, and by running for election, he can apply all that he has learned in National Politics t o work wonders on him home front.

As usual, I cannot seem to get the photos that I took tonight onto the blog....so tomorrow I will ask RICH how to do it, or what I am doing wrong. Barbara's house is a wonderful old Victorian, that she has adorned with fabulous flowers, lights, and traditional American banners and buntings...Her dining room table was laden with punch filled with berries and sherbet, an endless plate of shrimp cocktail, and all types of finger foods, which included mini quiches, crab cakes, and mini kosher pigs in blankets...and dips, cookies, cakes, pastries, nuts, candies, ...ad infinitum yum.

 Paul and I do back a few years, although, I do not know if he remembers me. He came to the ANNWOLF, Kerry event I ran....I ran into him at the party for CORZINE, and the private party of Bill Richardson....and a few other un earth shattering house parties. I like the way he speaks and thinks...and he just might be, one of the few people, who will turn out to be a honest politician.

Barbara Comerford, who is as spiritual as beautiful is seen sitting and smiling, and Paul is talking wit h someone to our left, while the Deputy MAYOR is on our Right.....she is stepping down and has encouraged him to run for one of the open council seats. Another one of our customers Jacque Harlow, who is in his 80's) is also a council member at this time....The evening was extremely pleasant...everyone there was sincerely friendly and int erested in their town and its politicians....the election is in a few weeks. and I will try t o get him some votes from my customers.....
