Subject: Create Support!
Time: 10:08:00 AM EDT

Transcript of this video below:

Once you have a good solid basis and have your success system set up it is time to create.  In  case you are joining me today the success system is 1. Having a clear vision of your goals  2. Set up S.M.A.R.T. goals.  That is Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely and 3. Believe.  You can check out the last three days for more information if you are behind.

Now... Once your Success System is in place you should consider creating a support system.

One of the most important parts of your support system is having at least one person who will hold you accountable when you are failing to meet your goals, or who will encourage and inspire you when you are feeling down.  This person needs to be someone you trust and who feels comfortable being brutally honest and you have to be ready to accept their honesty.   Picking who you choose to be this person is very important.  If you are easily offended you may not want to pick your spouse.

For instance is we are sticking with the weight loss model you do not want to encounter this:

You:  Honey, does these jeans make my ass look fat?
Your spouse:  No, ass make ass look fat!

Then you will have to refer to some relationship coaching ideas.

The next support system that will help you achieve your goals is creating an environment that will support you and your goals.  I think most people know this entails choosing proper foods, taking away temptations and avoiding situations that will cause you to be tempted.  Let's say your goal is something different.  The same rules apply:

1. Rid yourself of all temptation.  Yes ALL temptation.  Realistically you will eventually have to allow that which tempts you back into your life, but you will want to wait until you have past your need or overcome your bad habit.

2. Create rules for yourself that you can live by and stick to them.

3. Reward yourself for good behavior or success.  Now if you are an alcoholic trying to over come a drinking habit, downing a fifth of vodka wouldn't be your reward of choice, however, it is important for you to find something that is equally rewarding.

4. Avoid people, places or things that cause you to be drawn away from your goal.

If you have any problem with any of the above, talk to your support person and journal about it.

Now you the tools you need to create the change you desire.  Next week we will talk about believing in yourself.

I have the same questions as Betty:

    1.  Is your hair naturally, beautifully curly?
    2.  What do people think when they hear you talking to yourself as they go by in their cars (and more importantly do you care?)!

Okay, so here is another question of my very own, LOL.

    3.  Where do we FIND that support person to help us with weight management?  Sad but true, but some people don't have such a person!  Thanks!

    Krissy :)

Love the video entries.  My husband knows better than to answer the question of my butt being big.  He just walks away and takes the 5th! LOL
