The Other Invisible!

I hate beginnings almost as much as endings (especially endings that don't make sense...), but here I go. The reason I've started this blog is to be a complement to my friend Amanda's journal and a lead in for our Cult of the Invisible Woman. Don't run away! We're not a religious cult trying to suck you away. For the record, one meaning of the word 'cult' is an organization of intelligent, gifted and educated individuals.  I think that suits what we're doing quite to a tee.

Ok, so why invisible? Intelligent, gifted people aren't invisible. Well...actually...most guys get as far as the kids with me and that ends their interest. Either that or if I am visible, it's to truly strange men. As discouraging as that is, I have found a sort of strength in being invisible. What I hope this blog will do is give hope to others and space for their comments. What I also hope to do is share interesting tidbits from the net about being our age (and older) and single. So feel free to read and share your experiences and comments.

We're just getting started...how exciting is that?
