people around the world take time to eat, family gathers, talk to each other; two suicide bombers kill 28 people in Iraq, murdering potential military recruits; foreign markets falling; World Youth Day held in Australia, Pope Benedict XVI spoke via a text message; the ‘mystery insect’ in a London museum; oil stumbled to $137.60, ended at $138.74, saw its second biggest decline in history, but beware OPEC & Brazil; Russian Ravers get blinded by light show; 6.4 quake rocked the Greek islands; McCain ‘will get bin Laden’; London ad says S Carolina is a ‘gay friendly’ place to visit;
