I am testing to see if I can add an entry in Substance through the Internet Explorer.

I do see the spell check addition, from which I did not have before, so that's a good sign...I guess. But, I am not going to add entries this way.   That's just rediculous.  So, I am going to test this method, and the standard one....

LATER:  well, no it did not work the standard way, and it took a bit of effort to get going through the Internet Explorer as well.  so, this is where I say good bye.  It's just too much effort, and it shouldn't be this way.   I can't even begin to explain the grief of letting this journal go feels like to me.   A home, a storehouse of emotions, a community, that I have watched grow, and not only the community but myself.   I was going on 3 years being here.  And now, suddenly and without warning....it's gone.   There is just too much going on in my personal life to be dealing with this as well. 

Anyway, I am not good at good byes, so lets just say....so long. I will find a way to keep in touch.

A belt full of lollipops for ammunition, I was here to make sure that the joy of Halloween, was spread through the sugary goodness of the Treat Fairy!

Work was fun, dressed that way.....maybe once a month I should dress up....just for the heck of it.

A little angel while playing one day

Stepped too close to the edge of a cloud

Falling downward like a feather she came

And landed on earth without a sound

 

One little wing altho badly bent

She picked up herself and away she went

Hush was that a knock at my door

Or just the wind sighing and no more

 

I had to see so I opened and looked

And there on my steps was a most wondrous sight

A smallest of angels, with hair of red

One bent wing and a halo still bright

 

“I must have slipped” she whispered to me

I don’t remember, but it must surely be

I wonder if God will miss me for a while

Can I stay with you and be your child?

 

Oh my sweet angel, of course you can

My heart is ready for one more little hand

I know God will miss you but I need you more

We will all be much happier of that I am sure

 

That angel has grown now and has angels of her own

And although it is just my eyes that still see her wings

What 3 ladies did on a day off.  

We ate.

We colored our hair.

Put on some makeup.

Took some pictures.

Ate some more.

Had a good time.

Went home. :)

I enjoyed my day off today. I was just a little productive, just enough....because if I can get away with being in my jammies all day, and doing whatever strikes my fancy, I'd be a happy girl.  I am not lazy, not really.  It's just my mind gets distracted, very easily.  very....easily.    Hey...what's that over there...??   ::snap::  5 minutes later....ok, yes...back to the entry. 

(ha ha....such a funny girl)

I went to the library, and actually checked out a book, that I really....really want to read.  A big one.  It's been a very long time since I sat down with a serious book and wanted to float away, or at least have the capability to do so.  I have been slightly distracted lately.... 

Breath and Bones ...ahhh! what a title!!  It's a delicious mouthful.   The picture...alluring and intriguing....can I say that about a woman pulling up her dress?  I guess I just did.  So anyway....yes...must pick up book and check it out!   Hmmm....looks good enough to me.  Yes, come home with me today and whisper sweet words into my mind!   (If you click on the picture...you can read a review of the book at Amazon.com)

And as you can tell by the pictures of me, up top...I got a haircut!  Yeah!   It's been awhile since I got a haircut.   If I can make tiny ponytails at the nape of my neck...It's too long!  And if I have to break out the curling iron.....yuk.  I just like to throw some productin, like hair wax or some cheap hairspray, and I am ready to go!   And I like the short look, it fits my personality.....fun, pixie, tom boy, that's me.  Ok, I am not fun...ALL the time.  But, I try.

I also went to Target later, I got me some new earrings.  I lose earrings all the time, they have a short life span with me.  I just got some simple silver hoops....no big whoop.

hmmm...what else did I do today?  Besides things like, sweeping, cooking dinner, playing, walking, talking with my four year old....oh, I cut his hair...but, uh....were not going to discuss the outcome to that....and certainly no pictures of it either....

Moving on!

Hmmm....oh, Irun surprised me with some Avia running shoes....very cool.  Now, I guess I have to run.....never owned a pair before.  I hope they came with some instructions....

And what else....oh, yes. We hung some little white ghosts outside, and their waterproof!  Cut them out of a white garbage bag.   And their heads are made from a crumpled ball of magazine pages.  Gotta be waterproof ghosts, for Washington Halloween nights, it usually rains....

Also, we strung up some fake spider webbing out front, and put in a black light bulb for a porch light.  Looks scary!  Everytime I open the front door of our house, I take a step back.....I forget it's out there.

ok...enough hodge podge random things for one entry!

Halloween is fast approaching. Stores promoting (I think since mid-summer, lol)  neighbors houses getting creepy....or creepier, depending on your neighbors. If you have kids, I am sure you have heard already what they want to be, or your deciding for them.  Either way, the costumes are everywhere.  Don't forget a trip to your local Good Will or Value Village, they got some great stuff and cheaper as well. 

I will be working at the store on Halloween this year, so I am wondering myself what to be....hmmmm.   I just don't know.   I haven't dressed up in a very long time. 

Could be fun!
