My Bio

I have often said...
discribing myself is like stubbing my toe
You can't help but laugh at the pain.
Ouch....
.................LOL!

Hi!
My name is Barbara. My friends call me Barb, I hope you will too. I'm 41yrs old, }Mom to 3, Grandma to 3{, and Aunt Barbie to 15 living in San Diego, California. I am an identical twin with 6 other brothers and sisters -}Thanks Mom and Dad!{ Animals are a big part of my life. }My pets{ have never failed me when I needed a friend. I found out, very early on, my blk. lab Madison (Maddy) can talk. She's 9 now and we can't shut her up -always the life of the party! My family has a legacy of siamese cats. Ming III (Mingers) is a little over a year. Sydney (Royal Pain in the, I can't hear a thing, squakin backside) -an amazon parrot- is 15. I have a great love and respect for all life. I }believe{ in everyones God -no exception. I am an American with the same dream. A voracious reader, depressed writer, terrible speller, and am in no way a computer geek. I'm a two finger typer fashioned in old school style. I'm a }hockey fanatic{ -Go Joe! captain of the Colorado Av's- my sons have skills. The movies are another big passion of mine. I have to see EVERYTHING! I love to be entertained. I'm happily divorced and sadly single with nowhere to go but "UP" from here.

Moments in Life
There are moments in life when you miss someone
so much that you just want to pick them from
your dreams and hug them for real!
When the door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often times we look so long atthe
closed door that we don't see the one,
which has been opened for us.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
because it takes only a smile to
make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Dream what you want to dream;
go where you want to go;
be what you want to be,
because you have only one life
and one chance to do all the things
you want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough trials to make you strong,
enough sorrow to keep you human and
enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
they just make the most of
everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always
be based on a forgotten past;
you can't go forward in life until
you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying
and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end,
you're the one who is smiling and everyone
around you is crying.
In a nut shell, I'm an awfully big nut! In short (Ha!) I'm a tiny fiesty thing with the heart of a lion, and the memory of an elephant (I call it my curse). I want to know the world and everything in it. It is my oyster, and I'm gunna slurp it down with gusto! ...........Yummy!
Don't count the years-count the memories...........
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take;
but by the moments that take our breath away!
Ps, My nick-name in school was Bridget-bar-butt. Two guesses as to why. Here's a hint, I'm part French. hehehe.......
Take care,
