THE PROMISE-THE REQUIREMENT

11 CHRONICLES 7: 14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then shall I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
There is a specific promise in the above verse, but also
a requirement.

The promise: "....then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

The requirement..or conditions we must meet in order to receive the promise:

IF my people...humble themselves,
IF they pray...
IF they seek my face,
IF they turn from their wicked ways.

I received a letter the other day from a friend who asked me, "Why are things so horrible today? Why is everything upside down, nothing but chaos everywhere in the world?"
Many of us ask the same thing, or wonder about it, but ought not too. How could things be any different, all things
considered? The truth is, the condition of our world did not get this way overnight.  Like a boat, coming unloosed from the deck, we, as a people, have been drifting away from the heart of all that is good, further and further away from God.
There is little respect for marriage, children twelve and thirteen years old are having babies, there is prostitution, problems with gambling, drugs, and alcohol, domestic violence, murders, rapes, assaults, liars; all manner of evil, negative things that are an abomination to God; things that overflow from society like a dam just broken, and too few of us are willing to take a stand- to few of us are unwilling to step up to the plate and make a difference.
The world is as it is because  GOD is last, instead of first, if HE is part of our life at all. We do not consider that He who created all that exists, knows what is best for us. If every one of us obeyed, for instance, the Ten Commandments, this world would be almost a paradise, a pleasant, warm, loving, comfortable place for us all.
We need a revival, and I believe one is in the making; that God, through the Holy Spirit, is drawing unto Himself those willing to be soldiers for Christ.
If we are to receive the promise---to have our land healed
and ourselves too,
we have to rededicate ourselves to God,
praying for forgiveness for the sins we have done. We need to pray mightily, asking Him to empty us- the refill us so that we can bear fruit for the Lord.

John XX.21
"As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you."

When Jesus sends us, he expects us to be wise enough to remember why we're being sent- and who we are representing. We are going because HE asks us too, and we are representing Him.
It is not our wisdom, the turn of a phrase, or eloquence of speech that moves hearts and draws people to Christ. It is always the Holy Spirit within, helping us bear fruit; to work out what God put in. I have to remember that my abilities with a pen come from He who loves me; from the one who created me. And each of you have to remember that your abilities come from the same place mine do.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 13: 11, 12
"....now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand."
It is comforting to me to read those verses, comforting to know that soon is nearer than I imagined, nearer than you might have believed too. We can afford to be courageous, dear ones, for God is bringing to pass all that was predicted to come. We are safe because we are His.
Let us no more remain discouraged, or hold to depression when trouble finds our place of residence. For no matter where we are, God is there as well. And if ever we are alone, we are alone with God. There is no safer, more better place to be.
Remember to pray for me always, as I do you. When I pray for you, heaven comes to your house. When you pray for me, heaven comes to mine.

                        GOD BLESS

AMERICA

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in AMERICA , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want   in ... And how many want out."
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
   1. Jesus Christ
   2. The American G. I.

 One died for your soul
the other for your freedom..

YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM
  TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM

A GENTLE REMINDER ABOUT WHAT MATTERS

Picture from Hometown

There is nothing as difficult as viewing something thathurt us as individuals, and us,as a NATION.I am inserting this link because too often we forget what it was; what it often takes,to get all of us to pull together.
The last time I viewed this I cried.I cry every time I see it. BUT
each time I see these images again,I am reminded of how quickly we,as a NATION pulled together. I am reminded again, of how different the emails I received were; each one saying the same thing:, "I hurt." I can't believe this." "I feel so lost and afraid." "I'm so glad I a live in a country that
pulls together when terror strikes."
And.."I can't believe how close we came, how quickly we
became like brother and sisters, instead of being strangers. The word 'Stranger" for a short time, no
longer existed.

  We are still that
NATION, still the same people.Let's
turn around and go back to that moment.Let's start all
over again, reminding ourselves of not Who we are, but
Whose we are.

This link will make you sad, but I hope (if you take time
to view it), it will cause you to think about things:
Where we were- as compared to where we now are; how close together -as compared to how far apart.
We can become ONE again, if we choose too.

LET'S SUPPORT OUR TROOPS

Picture from Hometown

  A SOLDIERS
 PERSPECTIVE

Your alarm goes off, you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes
.

He stays up for days on end.
-- --
You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
-- --
You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.
He gets shot at, as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
-- --
You put on your anti war,"don't support the troops," shirt, and go
meet up with your friends.

He fights for your right to wear that shirt.
-- --
You make sure you're cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
-- --
You talk trash on your "buddies" that aren't with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
-- --
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
-- --
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.
-- --
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He does not get to eat today.
-- --
Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.
He wears the same things for months, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
-- --
You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.
-- --
You are angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He is told he will be held an extra 2 months.
----
You call your girlfriend and set a date for that night.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
-- --
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
-- --
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.
-- --
You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own government and remembers why he is fighting.
-- --
You hear thejokes about the war, and make fun of the men like him.
He hears the gun fire and bombs.
-- --
You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the bodies lying around him.
-- --
You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.
He does what he is told.
-- --
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call and write home, sleep, and eat.
-- --
You crawl into your bed, with down pillows, and try to get comfortable.
He crawlsunder a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gun fire.
-- --
You sit there and judge him, saying the world is a worse place because of men like him.
If only there were more men like him!

These men and women serving our Country, are NOT
just
men and women. They are somebody's wife, husband, sister, brother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, etc; special people, people who
are terribly missed right now. Let's not forget them.

There are soldiers, here, at home - waiting to be shipped out, and soldiers
on the other side of the world, praying, longing, yearning,
to be
 sent home.
We are here, at home, SAFE; , able to hug one another, and create wonderful memories. But our soldiers are
lonely, cold - hungry -exhausted  -
overwhelmed, and afraid.

Let's Support Our Troops, guys & dolls. If you're unsure
as to where to start, I've got you covered.

Please let others know about this journal. They may want to
help, but don't have any ideas as to what they could do.

ONE + ONE = TWO.
We can make those numbers grow, if we pull together.

THE COUNTRY GOD HAS CONTINUED TO BLESS.

LET US PUT HIM BACK WHERE HE BELONGS.

I have had enough! I am so saddened by how the number of people taking GOD out of
AMERICA
has risen.

I created this journal for those of you, who like myself, recognize the treasure we have, recognize that in spite of being consistantly asked to leave,
GOD yet remains, continues to bless this nation, undeserving, as we too often are.

sharing what you treasure about

My blessing is knowing I AM an American, living in a free country, able to have a roof over my head, a floor beneath my feet, people in my life who believe in me, and a GOD who calls me HIS
