Hello Again Folks..

What a long winter this has been here in New England, but thankfully it's almost over, and I can finally get outside with the camera again. This past Saturday was my 35th birthday, and I thought I would share some of the photos that my wife to be Lori took. I really love spending time with Lori's nieces & nephew, and it's nice to know that they love their Uncle Barry. And of course I can't forget Snowy!

Snowy helped me with eating my birthday cake, and this is her smiling with a full belly. Love You Snowy!

All in all I had a blast, and got some much needed clothes from my Hunny & her parents, and my mother surprised me with the MB-D100 battery pack for my camera. Thank You All For A Great 35th!

Until Next Time.........

Hello Again Everyone!

It's been a very long time since my last posting, but this is the first of two that I am making today. These are a few pics from the BIG Memorial Day Cookout at Lori's house. Talk about food! We had some steaks as big as Texas, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers & Mama Michelle's Famous Chicken. I'm still full from all the food & fixin's. This first pic is of my lady Lori & her sister Amy just enjoying the sun and family. Aren't they cute!

Photo #2 is Me, Snowy & Lori taking a needed rest after filling ourselves up on the two mothers good cookin'.

Photo #3 is a few week older, this is Me & Lori's dad Rick jamming away on our guitars for the kids. The guitar that Papa Rick is holding was my gift to him for his birthday that day, and Mama Michelle gave him an awesome amp to go with it! Even though Papa Rick is a Country player & I am a Metalhead, we still can carry a rhythm!

Photo #4 is Lori's Uncle Roger who stopped by as a big surprise to everyone. Roger was not due to visit until September, but as the fates have it, he made it for Memorial Day. The lady in the middle is my mother Marilyn, and on the far right is me.

Next post will showcase some artistic photos that I took on a recent trip with Lori to St. John's Cemetery.

Until Then My Friends.........

Hello Again!

Here are the artistic photos I promised all of you from my trip with Lori to St. John's Cemetery a few weeks back.

Photo #1: I titled this one "Christus" simply because the name is fitting. I loved the way the sun bathed the bust as he seemed to be looking to the heavens.

Photo #2: This scene doubly struck me eye, by the fact that it seems both restful & ominous at the same time.

Photo #3: This is the full framed version of the last photo. I feel that this is equally as good.

Photo #4: This was re-done with a pastel filter to accentuate the moodiness of this photo.

That's it till next post, I wish you all good health & good times!

Hello Again Everyone,

I hope that you all enjoyed your holidays, now we can begin to rest up from all the partying. My holidays were alot of fun this year. I was able to spend a few days with my fiancee & her family, and it was a blast!

I have posted some pics of our holiday revelry, and even though this is a little off the norm for my journal, I wanted to share photos of my family with all of you.

The 1st photo is Lori's sister Amy, with a beautiful dolphin. Amy is a dolphin and teddy bear collector, and her collection is definately a sight to be seen!

The 2nd photo is my fiancee Lori with a fiber-optic angel, Lori is a big troll fan, but is branching out to other collectibles.

The 3rd photo is Lori using the Nikon Coolpix 3200, I gave her for Christmas. Now when Lori & I go out to take photographs, we are both digital!

The 4th photo is my mother Marilyn, showing off the lighthouse that she got. My mother is a lighthouse nut, but it is to be expected since she is a Pisces.

The 5th photo is Lori showing the Pooh sweatshirt she recieved.

The 6th photo is Lori's Christmas tree. The tree was even better in person. Lori and her nieces & nephew did a great job on the decorations!

The 7th photo is Lori showing my mother how the digital camera works.

The 8th photo is my mother with yet another lighthouse!

The 9th photo is Lori's stepdad Rick, with his Hank Williams Jr. singing bobblehead. Rick is a BIG country music lover, and he used to be in a band himself!

The 10th photo is Lori's Mom, enjoying some quiet time. Love Ya Ma!

This is just a small portion of the photos from my holidays, and I will post more as I work on them.

I sincerely hope that this year, will bring us all, peace, love health & happiness.

Until next time....

Hello Everyone, I hope that you all had a great Christmas this year. Mine was very good & restful. This year I gave my fiancee a new Nikon Coolpix 3200 to start her down the road to digital photography. Lori has already got the basics down after watching the instructional CD, and I will post some of our Christmas pics within the week for you all to see.

Now we are on the big countdown to 2005, and I hope it will be a peaceful & prosperous year for us all. I wish you all and your loved ones, the best that the season has to offer. Until next time....

It sure has been a long time since my last update, and I've been quite busy with the upcoming holidays. I wanted to show you all a couple of my more recent photos taken with my D100 and editied slightly in Photoshop CS.

This first photo is an informal portrait shot of my fiancee Lori and her kitten Princess. For this photo I used a Sigma 28-80mm lens set at 80mm, so as to crop out unwanted background. I would have liked Princess to have been looking more towards me, but she seemed to have a thing for my tripod instead. LOL.

The second photo was taken earlier this autumn at Beaver Brook Park, which is near the market I work at. I was out about 8am that morning for a walk around the park, and on my way through, this lone tree's color struck me. I decided to use a Pastel filter on this scene to soften the light, and the photo itself.

What is your opinion?

If any of you are Nikon camera users, I would like to give you this link to a wonderful group of people called "The Nikonians". I have learned so much from them, and nobody talks trash there. You can find them at http://www.nikonians.org

I want to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas & Best Tidings For This Coming Year.

Until next update......

Hello Again Everyone,

Well, after quite awhile taking a break from my camera, I decided to flex my eye and finally see my fiancee's new kitten "Princess". These two photos were taken using a Sigma 28-200mm zoom set at 35mm and edited in PSP8 for a more relaxed feel to the photos.

Remember, I am always open to your comments and suggestions, as my art is a continuing work in progress.

Have a great week & until next post....

Well, It's been quite awhile since I last posted. I have been busy with my job and by the time a day off comes, I am too tired to even grab my camera bag and go.

Today was a great day outside, and I just had to be out in the sunshine. I was down at Beaver Brook Park looking for anything out of the ordinary to photograph, and I came up with a few shots. I have been experimenting with JASC Virtual Painter lately as these shots show. I really like the extra creative control with this program and it's quite easy to use too.

These shots were done with a colored pencil & pastel filter to add an artwork feel.

Let me know how you like these & until next post...

Lori & I had a great trip to see my aunt & uncle this past weekend, thankfully the weather at least cooperated a bit. We ended up going to the Capron Zoo in Attleboro on Saturday, and it was a little dreary, but that did not stop us in the least.

I was able to snap a few photos to show all of you, and I am still working on the rest of the photos I took.

The first photo is one of the Kangaroos that reside in the zoo, and his family members numbered at about 5. This one was very interested in the attention he (or she) was getting from us.

The other photos are of a Snow Leopard, let me tell you, this kitty was gorgeous. The weather made the animals a little sluggish, but the leopard was kind enough to let me photograph him.

I want to thank my Aunt Tina & Uncle Allen for the fun trip, and the great visit.

During the visit, we had hoped that my Aunt & Uncle's friend Candy would have come to the zoo. Candy is one of the nicest, funniest person you could meet, and I missed her witty observations on the zoo trip.

Today is my first day back to work, so I may not be updating for a bit, but be sure to look for more photos right here!
