Next?????

Here's the deal:  When I neglect writing, or doing something creative, I get depressed.  Where this comes from is a mystery.  However, I know I must get back to writing, etc., for clarity, establishing goals, organizing and releasing accumulation of "stuff."

Remember: Accomplishing at least one task a day helps to lighten sluggishness.  Example:  I did the dishes.  I am happy about that!  (Remember to be happy after finishing tasks, i.e. "you did good.")

Three months of pain is enough!  I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.  Moreover, I am really tired of being in pain.  Pain is disruptive...it interrupts life in general and creativity specifically.  Three doctors without success.

One thing I enjoy is the arrival of fresh ideas--the ah-ha moment, an insight, a possibility.  Questioning what can be done is challenging.  How can I express this thought through art or photography?  How did that artist or photographer do that?  How can I challenge myself to be better?  When the idea is exciting, I am off and running in search of a solution, a story, or an image.

Lately the ah-ha moments have been few and far between.

Perhaps it is time to prime the pump--to look at books that inspire and get me moving.  One of my favorite books contains the work of the photographer, Irving Penn.  Reading positive quotations helps also.  I have neglected these friends.  It must be time for a visit to a bookstore.  Every trip to a bookstore is uplifting.

Things I would like to do:
1.  Write a story about dirt.
2.  Create an altered book (or part of one) that tells a story or is informative.
3.  Write a screenplay, or three-act play.
4.  Eliminate all excess in the house.
5.  Sell some of the excess on ebay.

Things To Do
Go to a bookstore.  Take an Artist's Day Out.
Question what is next?  Where do I want to go from here?  What is the next challenge and can I handle it physically?
Order glass (for framing) on Monday.
Finish framing and put items aside to be packed up.
Locate large suitcase with wheels for finished photographs.
Set up website for selling artwork online.
LOOK FOR IDEAS!!!!  PAY ATTENTION!

I can relate!!!!!  I've been neglecting my creative spirit for WAY TOO LONG, which I know is the culprit for my sluggishness and boredom.  I have a positive quote I'd like to share with you -- I have it posted on my computer screen as a gentle reminder to 'Go For It!'  It's a Chinese Proverb:  "Pearls lie not on the seashore.  If thou desirest one thou must dive for it."
