Feeling Mischievous

The Locus Awards

The Locus awards, yes this is the day that they happened.  I only can but up 8 images so y'all are getting the 8 from the awards ceremony.
First are the lovely young women who handed out the awards.  Next the very funny and entertaining redhead writer.  She did a great opening using visional aids to help us understand the humor. Next is the woman who channeled Ms. Le Guin to pick up her award. Next is all the award winners together in a group.  Only one winner didn't stay for the photo, Mr. Analog.   Next Mr. Sandman, Ah but I wishfully think of him.  And another photo of two famous British writers.  Publisher, editor, and author, got the best first novel award.
The last image is from the reception after the awards.  It is a writer and editor hanging out in a corner trying to catch up on each other.  The ceremony was well attended and I think we had the most winners actually there, than normal.  The reception afterwards was packed.  I did photos of a new sf writer at least new here, she'd had 3 books published in the Uk, her first comes out here soon.  That's why she is here.  This afternoon is my afternoon of photographying people headshots and just plain what people look like.
Later today I get to do Mr Sandman.  First time I'll have photographed him since I was working on my book.  Tonight is party, party, party, since I'm not much of a partier.  I'll go do my photos come back and do my events and go to bed.  Till later.
