Feeling Anxious
The last of the state fair series. I like close up images that can confuse or make clear. This first one is one of those images. It was taken at a baby chick circus exhibit in the agricultural building. The exhibit didn't have a top on it so I just held the camera above the chicks and clicked.
It's kinda hard to tell what they are at first glance but you can see the chicks heads and little beaks. Next is from the cool model train exhibit they had there. I think it was there last year but in a less prominent place. This year it had the whole end of the exhibit building. Pretty cool, I thought. You can see the train going across the in front of the buildings.
This is food, yes people good. I shot it in a windown of one of the vendors who sells this stuff. I thought it looked interesting. The female cows with the big horns. I have no idea what kind of cow these are, but they sure do have big horns. I saw a calf with it's big horned mother and it had little horns poking out of it's skull. Like I'd expect to see on a young Pan. It was cute.
The pigs, when I first got to the fair I went through the pig area and it was pretty much deserted. But as was doing my last walk through before I left, apparently the pigs had arrived. The pig on the right in #5 had to be in the picture. He saw me taking an image of the one on the left so he got up and moved to be right beside that one. I just assumed he wanted to be in the picture. So there he is, I assume it's a he.
Next is pig love, These two were in different barred pens but one had to stick her nose into the other ones pen. These pigs were so pink, it was scary. The bunnies!!! Again they weren't really in there little cages when I first went through. The poultry was all there but the rabbits hadn't quite gotten there yet. So I went through again before I left and found this furry fellow. So cute.
My last image is of a strange thing I've seen at the fair the last couple of years. What it is, is wrestling. They set up a ring (at least I think they are called rings). It's like what the boxers use. Anyway these guys get up and parade around I assume they are high school drama majors. At least that's the level of acting I see. It was entertaining, in a strange way. The wrestling was very obviously fake and nobody got hurt.
They do this outside up by were the pig racing happens.
I did walk this morning. Saw only two deer but lots of people. When I see people on the trail I try to think of them as animals and observe their behavior. Some are loud and can't seem to help it.
Groups of women, that must be doing it together because they wouldn't know how to do it alone. So that's how I deal with lots of people. I must confess my favorite time to walk is when there is nobody else around. That use to be in the early mornings but now that the mornings are getting light around 6:30am the place is packed early on. As the winter progresses it will get light later, but it will get colder and less people will get out in the cold. That is a great time to walk.
Feb. is my favorite month to walk in. The Barred Owls seem to be the easiest to see in the winter and last Feb. I saw more owls than I have since. So no more fair stuff, on with life.
