Hey, is it my imagination or is Ron Paul's official Wikipedia picture look ... a little bit ... sad? Take a gander:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Ron_Paul%2C_official_Congressional_photo_portrait%2C_2007.jpg

I have seen the picture many times, and today's viewing ... doesn't seem happy at all. Cheer up, Ron Paul's Wiki piki ... we're rooting for you in the general election! Keep going strong, Paul movement!

Subject: Turnout! Turnout! Turnout!!!

Oh no ... the Democratic's greatest asset this election is in peril! http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/27/dem.turnout.poll/

Turnout! Whenever I think about the Democratic Primary, the first thing that comes to my mind is TURNOUT. Turnout --- turnout --- turnout! Whoop-idy-doooooooo! Hooray hooray! The turnout thing has become so annoying especially in the last few months that I am glad that the Democrats have a situation in which this great nugget of pride (apparently) is wavering:

"

<P _extended="true"><B _extended="true">WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Bickering between Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama could affect Democratic turnout in the general election, suggests a poll released Thursday.

<DIV class=cnnStoryPhotoBox _extended="true"> <DIV class=cnnImgChngr id=cnnImgChngr _extended="true"><IMG height=219 alt=art.obama.clinton.gi.jpg src="http://i.l.cnn.net/cnn/2008/POLITICS/03/27/dem.turnout.poll/art.obama.clinton.gi.jpg" width=292 border=0 _extended="true"> <DIV class=cnnStoryPhotoCaptionBox _extended="true"> <DIV class=cnn3pxTB9pxLRPad _extended="true"> <P _extended="true">Fighting between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton could drive Democratic turnout this fall.

<P _extended="true">" [1]

<P _extended="true">Syanora, turnout! I am sick of you, I am sick of that word, and I am sick and tired of the Democrats acting proud about it. Good ridance. I never want to here that word for another 8 years! Turnout --- turnout --- turnout!!! ... ... ...

... she would have won Wyoming? I know she's expecting more since her trio of victories, but now is the time to show us her range of talents on the issues. She is kind of good at it ... but so far, not good enough to blow away that inexperienced Obama from the waters. Perhaps she could be less shrill at the same time.

Subject: Will MSNBC Include Huckabee/Paul Documentaries?
Time: 12:14:52 AM EST
Author:  bigfans1

MSNBC covered Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton a few nights ago. MSNBC covered John McCain's documentary. Yet, the title of this series is called 'The Candidates' not 'the frontrunners', so MSNBC really needs to make a Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul documentary, each. That can be done, correct? We will not leave these two without their documentaries?

Mitt Romney is rumored to reenter the race. The way I view things, only things that can benefit Ron Paul are considered. I am unclear how Mitt Romney's vacation out of the Republican race could help Ron Paul, but if there's a will there's a way. Ron Paul has the will, Mitt Romney may clear a way, but my Romney-respect-level is at the lowest ever so far, so when this news becomes official... expect some real fireworks of complaining from me. Also to be noted, John Edwards can not do this maneuver, he didn't win any states prior to dropping out. If he were to cancel his dropping out, he'd be completely irrelevant, now.

Subject: Ralph Ne'er

If you have been up and about today you have learned that Ralph Nader is trying for another failure bid for the White House. Since so many candidates feel inebriated by starting their candidacies, it seems like such a negative thing to start off this early to write bunk about them. Yet, another thing has been true: THERE HASN'T BEEN A VICTORIOUS THIRD PARTY AT LEAST SINCE THE WHIGS.

No one can pull it off. Not gadflys, billionaires, broad egoes, or former presidents themselves, even. I hold out for Ron Paul, since there's something special about him, but otherwise --- nobody is succesful. Ralph Nader, someone who hasn't been relevent since the election of 2000, can not pull it off if it was a Obama/McCain duel. An Obama/McCain election would be interesting.

In fact, I will step one step further by taking off what I said about relevance. If Ralph Nader really stepped back (like I thought he did!) and looked at his not-Green Party run in 2004, Ralph Nader, not having the Greens to back him, lost his nearly 3 million voter following, down to a miserable 400,000+.

2000 [1]:

George W. Bush Republican Texas 50,460,110 47.9% 271 Dick Cheney Wyoming 271
Al Gore Democratic Tennessee 51,003,926 48.4% 266 Joe Lieberman Connecticut 266
(abstention) (a) 1 (abstention) (a) 1
Ralph Nader Green Connecticut 2,883,105 2.7% 0

Then, in 2004 [2]:

Republican George W. Bush 62,040,610 50.73 31 286
Democrat John Kerry 59,028,444 48.27 19+DC 251
Independent Ralph Nader 465,650 0.38 - -

Here's the side-by-side:

2000: 2,883,105 2.7%
2004: 465,650

0.38[%]

Are you reading that, Ralph Failure? When you went independent, your constituency dropped by 2 million, 4 hundred thousand people voting! Not that even 2 million people voting mattered, anyway! Ross Perot had nearly 20 million voters [3] in the popular vote, and this just gave us Bill Clinton. Ross Perot didn't get a single electoral vote, either. It must have been a bitter Electoral College, that year.

2008 will be a bitter popular vote year because A) You hurt Hillary Clinton, who directly came out with a statement on this [4] B) While you couldn't dethrown Ron Paul when he starts his third party run, you bland it a little. C) You probably also upset Michael Bloomberg, also. Thanks, there, Nader. You either drag us back to the 00's in nostalgia, or you actually make somebody else lose - take your pick.

Subject: CNN Election Center Relatively Minor Correction
Time: 2:59:50 AM EST
Author:  bigfans1

A little reminder for CNN Election Center ... you have to change your delegate set-up. You see, on the front page, underneath "Road to the White House", you kick out candidates that have dropped out of the race. This means, Mitt Romney's picture and data is no longer on the website ... and everybody is moved up a notch who is below him.

This means, you'd be showing Mike Huckabee second, and Ron Paul third. It's as easy as that. Quite a change. As for the democrats ... since Mike Gravel has 0 delegates, I suppose I will let that go ... but perhaps John Edwards should be taken off because he dropped out long ago.

Subject: YouTube Censors Like Hope But Different
Time: 5:10:05 PM EST
Author:  bigfans1

My favorite attack ad on YouTube since Maccaca wrecked George Allen, McCain: Like Hope, But Different, is impossible to find on YouTube. It's biting, funny, and inspiration ... yet it's gone from YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=John-McCain-like-hope&search_type=

John McCain's underlings also got to this search-phrase:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=like-hope-but-different&search_type=

The so-so 'No You Can't' is still up, but there is no link from 'No You Can't' to 'Like Hope, But Different.' It is quite strange. I really liked LHBD, and I wonder who is responsible for this. Well, John McCain's reign of deceit starts early.
