Feeling Chillin'

Hello everyone.  I know I've been absent, yet again from here, but I've just been busy.  Can't say too busy...I get online and then forget to write. 

Last week I remembered that I had some picture CDs from not too long ago, but because my other computer was crap, I couldn't do anything with them.  I have since uploaded my favs on my computer so I thought I would share some.  They are all of Austin, of course.  Hope you enjoy them.

Feeling Chillin'

Just sitting here, was going to sign off and go to bed, but my computer decided that I needed to be online for some update, so here I am.  It's only on 4%.  Ugh!

Got my sink fixed last Wednesday.  It turned out to be the disposal.  Rotten piece of junk.  Literally.

Got a new TV.  Real nice flat screen.  Of course, spent too much. 

My brother got a job.  He started today, in fact.  He's 30 and this is his second job ever.  The other job he lasted at for only a day.  He has issues.

I must be tired.  I'm talking like a robot...lol.  I don't mean to.  I've had a long day.  My old neighbor friend made my mad today.  She came over and was trying to get her son down for a nap, but they both ended up asleep on my bed.  I think that's so rude.  I went in and asked her if she was going to be there all day and she said no, finally getting up.  I told her that I wouldn't do that at anyone's house.  Then later, when I am telling her son not to get in to something (he's 14 months old) he whines to her about it and she says "is Kimmie being mean?" I told her that she shouldn't say that or I won't babysit him ever, on account that he won't listen to me if I have to discipline him. She's so childish.

Ugh!  Only 18% is done and my eyes want to shut so badly.  I think I'm going to go and waste time watching TV or something until this thing is done.  Hope you all have a good day tomorrow.

Feeling Chillin'

Still here, waiting for someone to come fix my sink.  Haven't heard anything yet.  You know though, I'm not even stressing.  If it doesn't happen today then maybe I will stress, but it's only noon...lots of day left.

My SIL is up to her old tricks.  This morning she was calling around to find a babysitter for her 2 kids.  She had a doctor appointment.  She called my neighbor friend and asked her, but lucky for her, she had to work.  SIL told her she would try me, but that she gives me money and food and I never want to babysit for her anyway.  Now that's a big fat lie, right there.  I have babysat for her numerous times and only had gotten a Subway sandwich once, long ago.   I have no idea what she is thinking.  Guess I don't have to worry about it too much, she never called and her appointment was half an hour ago.

Other than all that, everything is fine.  Still loving my new computer, but very intimidated by it.  I'm afraid that something is going to go wrong if I click on anything.  I don't know anything about Windows Vista...I was so used to my slow Windows 98.  Big difference.

Feeling Frustrated

So I had a huge flashback today.  Last night, really late, hubby wakes me right on the verge of sleep.  (Don't you just hate that???)  He says that the kitchen rug is soaked through.  For anyone that has read my journal in the past, I used to have a heck of a time with leaks at my old house.  We lift the rug and it's all soapy water (re:dishwasher water) and chalk it up to be that we have a leak in a pipe under the sink.  WONDERFUL!!!  This morning I had the most funnest (I know, not a real word...taking lessons from my 4 year old...lol) job in the world: cleaning out under there.  It seems, though, that it just started leaking, since there wasn't that much water under there.  Still, we like to pile our plastic bags under there and some had water inside of them.  It's real pleasant to pull out a bag with water in it, unbeknownst to me, and get it all over my pants.

I assume that getting anything fixed around here will be lots easier than it was at our old house.  All I have to do is go to the office and fill out a work form and wait for someone to appear.  The hardest part is over.

Other than that, nothing else is going on.  Hope you all are having a wonderful day.

Feeling Chillin'

Wow, two days in a row.  What is going on with me?  I know what it is.  I can't stand not playing on my computer.  Nothing like it used to be.

I didn't go into much detail about my life yesterday.  Actually, most everything is the same. 

Austin does have some new interests.  Too many to count, really.  He was really into know about the body, then had to know everything about road signs and what they meant, and now he's big into planets.  He wants to know every planet, where it is and if it's cold or hot there.  Just from answering his questions from a book we have, I've been learning, too.  I swear, he's going to be so bored in kindergarten, he's only 4. 

My cat was sick last week.  He's 7 years old and you know something?  I've never ever had to take him to the vet.  He's never been.  Well I know enough about cats that when they start peeing on stuff other than in their box and hadn't had a problem with the box, they have some kind of urinary infection.  I knew he needed medicine so I took him to the vet and got pills for him and now he's fine.

Hearing Something on XM radio

Howdy everyone!  I've come back from the dead...lol.  I suppose everyone has given up on me and I don't blame you.  Like I said about a billion years ago, I didn't want to get online much.  Then today I bought a new computer.  Can you believe it?  I've had a dinosaur for so long that I didn't know what to do when I first got this one home.

So how is everyone?  Everyone here is pretty good.  Austin is getting bigger.  Hubby is doing the same thing he always does.  Pretty boring life around here.  I did become an aunt for the second time.  Hubby's sister had a baby girl in January.  She's got two in diapers now and miserable.  Serves her right.

Same old thing happening with my old neighbor friend except she really has nobody but me now and comes over almost every day.  A lot more than before. 

Well, I just wanted to check in with everyone.  Planning on being around a lot more now.  Hope you all come back and comment.  I missed you all so very much!

Feeling Chillin'

Hello everyone.  Yes, your screen is telling the truth....it's me.  Ah, but do you remember me? 

To tell you the truth, I've really had no desire to be online.  Not sure why. 

We had a birthday party for my dad yesterday, but today is the true birth date.  It was a surprise because he thought that he was going to my grandma's for dinner. The gf told him that she wanted to drop by here first for wedding stuff and my grandma, brother and brother's gf were here.  It was a fun party.  He's now the big 5-9.  I'm wondering how we will woop it up on his 60th.  I remember when 60 seemed old.  My parents do not seem old at all.

Speaking of brithdays, mine is in about a month and a half and because it's the next on dad's side, it's the talk of that family.  I've got my mom's birthday on July 14.  59th also.

So, I might have said something about my old neighbor friend not coming around as much, with us now living so far from her mother.  It's the exact opposite and I am starting to feel used.  She comes over with her child, whom I do love dearly, and then has to "run" off somewhere, asking if she can leave the kid.  A few times I have done it, but started feeling weird about it.  Today she tried doing it to me and I stood my ground and said no.  Ha ha!  She said she would come back later and she never did.  I figured as much.  If she has a problem I'll just tell her that I do it for her all the time.  Uggh!!!

Anyway, life has gotten normal again.  I'm not as excited about the new place.  It's clean, and I've been keeping it that way.  The dishwasher is still fabulous to me.  That's about it.  Austin's room has a weird scent about it.  I'm not sure if it's just his smell or the room itself.  I don't know.  There are also some strange people here.  Like the teenage couple who have little lover quarrels ever 15 minutes and sit in the stairwell right beside Austin's room.  Not bad fights, just teasing and whinning.  Now that I'm older, it's not cute.  The pool is open, but the only person that I've seen in it is a large, hairy man.  And only around 9pm when nobody is really around.  Except me, throwing out my garbage, of course.

So that's my wonderful life.  Still no pictures, for I've got a crappy computer and no camera, scanner or otherwise.  Hopefully soon, but I won't hold my breath.

Hearing watching Back to the Future

Sorry I haven't been around much.  I've only been getting online once or twice a day to check my mail.  Tonight Sky is watching a movie in the living room so I decided to write.

Things are still pretty good here.  I've gotten pretty used to it now.  Had a heck of a time with switching our power bill to over here.  The manager here faxed our lease to the power company, but because they didn't have Sky's Social Security number they put it in my name.  It was in his name at the old house.  Anyway, they were charging me a $97 deposit and was making me pay a past due of $144 from 1993.  Ridiculous, or what???  Oh, and they were still charging us for power at the old place.  Yesterday morning I thought we got it all straightened out, but got that large bill in my name so I called them and we only owe about half of what it came to, thank goodness.  Other than that, everything has been fine.

Mother's Day was nice except I had to tell Sky what I wanted.  Plus, I made dinner for my mother and step-dad.  I didn't mind that part so much.  Mom and him have really helped me out in the passed month with the whole move and everything.  It's the least I could do.  I got my mom a really sappy card that she hated because it made her cry and a cute outdoor statue of two frogs sitting on a log, fishing.  She loves frogs.  We had a really good evening with them and during the afternoon Sky's parents, sister, baby and bf, came over.  My nephew is getting to be the cutest.  Not sure what happened there...lol.  He smiles and laughs even when you don't do anything.  And he loves to cuddle.  I can't wait until he's older and I can really spoil him. 

So that's what's been going on with me.  With a few trips to the store and visits from my old neighbor friend, who comes around more now that I've moved.  Odd.  There's been some drama, but not much.  And it's nice that her mom can't just come down and fight with her on my porch.

Feeling Chillin'

I hate to brag, but we are still loving our new place.  I'm getting used to it.  Who would have thunk that we could do an apartment.  I know it would be nice to own our own home, but right now this is where we need to be.  Stress-free! 

Mother's Day is coming up and I think I am going to be cooking dinner for my mom and step-dad that day.  I still don't know for sure, but tomorrow I have to go shopping for my mom and MIL.  Now that I'm doing most of the shopping, I'm designated shopper this year.  That's okay.  It takes me not even 5 minutes to walk to the store.  

My grandmother is coming for a visit tomorrow and I just remembered now as I typed it.  She's getting here at 11 or so.  She hasn't been here yet, so I hope she finds it okay and likes it.  I'm sure she will do both.  

Well, I'm not sure if I am going to be able to get back to post in my jounral by Sunday so I wanted to wish everyone a
