The new version of Angels is now open. 

Chuck Ferris who sadly passed at the beginning of this month has been added.  I did not know him too well so I am hoping that one of his close friends will add a posting in his memory.

It is also dearly hoped that we will not have to add any new names for a very long time.

Please make sure that you put the new version on your alerts as no more postings will be added to this one.

I would be grateful if you could pass on this link to all your J-Land friends so that they are aware of it.  Thank you very much.  Here is the link:-

This is to let everyone know that due to various difficulties, it became increasingly problematical to update this site.

With the full blessing and co-operation of Sunny who created the concept of having a memorial site for J-Land writers who have passed on,  a new site is being created.  In fact, it is almost ready for release.

Chuck Ferris has been added to the new site which is private at the moment until the finishing touches have been put to it. When that is done it will be opened up.

This site will remain but will NOT be added to in the future. A link to this journal has been put onto the new one.

I shall notify as many people as I can and I have informed the journals editor of this change.

When the new journal is open I shall do a posting here to let you all know.

My thanks to Sunny and also to Donna who made the sidebar graphics for this journal and also Shelley who made the memorial quilt squares.

Many will know that Chuck Ferris passed away on the 1st July.  He was a very popular member of the J-Land community and I know that many will miss him. He had been writing for four years.

For technical reasons I have not yet been able to add his picture and journal link to this tribute journal.  I hope it can be sorted out in the near future.

In the meantime anyone wishing to leave a message for his family or to say just how they felt about Chuck can visit his site at:-

A very important jalnd member has had a big loss. Most of you Jlanders all ready know. I just wanted to post my thought and prayers are with you Guido.

I want to Thank Jeannette for taking this journal on and making it the journal it is. I had the idea but Jeanette had the knowhow to make it the journal it is. I can not thank her enough for what she is doing with it.

Jeannette to me you are also a ANGEL a living angel who cares about our beloved angels who have recieved there wings.

I have added Irene's photo and her journal link.  A very courageous lady and a friend to many, she has now taken her rightful place alongside our other departed journal friends.   Fly free Irene - you will not be forgotten.

The Call for Support journal alerted me, thanks to Indigo, that Irene passed away in the early hours of the morning, after a long battle with cancer. She is now sitting at the breakfast table. I am very upset at her passing, a gentle soul, who will be deeply missed by all those in her vicinity. Whether it be family and friends or the J-land community. It came as a shock this afternoon.

Irene, rest in peace. The suffering is over.
Keep the coffee warm, we'll be there in time.

I just found out that Donna's sister had a Quilt square . There was a previous entry on here when I first started this journal. Donna is a big part of Jland and I wanted to add her sisters square here.
