Feeling Happy
Prayer

Father tonight I feel Your beckoning call for prayer. Even though I desperately need sleep right now... I try to do what You want me to do. I am well Father, but there must be someone who is needing You so much tonight Lord... for the calling is so strong within my soul. Like the scriptures:
Hebrew 4:16: Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
John 10:28-30: 28: "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29: My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. 30: I and the Father are one."
Father, I come boldly before You tonight, asking for healing and understanding for those who call upon Your Name tonight. As in the song "Footprints In The Sand" when feeling alone; let them know that many times You are carrying us instead of being by our side. There are others that I know that need Your healing so much Lord. Teach us to live one day at a time because none of us know what our future may hold. Let us know that You are in control and with You all things are possible. Teach us to lean not upon our own understanding... but lean on You. Father please give us the strength to continue in our earthly walk of life. For if God is for us, who can be against us. Father, please lay Your healing hand upon those who are in need and help them to accept You tonight. These things I ask in Your Son's Precious Name, Jesus. Amen
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.. it is very simple. All you have to do is ask Him to come into your heart and admit that Jesus is the Son of God, that he was crucified, buried, and rose again. You do not have todo anything else. There is nothing that you can do to become perfect enough before you accept Him. He accepts you... just as you are. He will not turn anyone away who is sincere. May you find peace and assurance tonight and may God be with you. All are in my prayers, Janie

Feeling Happy
Taking a break.. Couple of months

Thank you Sugar for beautiful tag.
I hope this finds all of you well. I am going to be taking a break from journals. I have been doing the journal for 1 year and 4 months. lol I have enjoyed visiting and reading everyone's journals. Summer is going to be a very busy season for me. I will be taking lots of pictures to share at a later time. I am just an email away. I would like to share this and some tags. Remember... all of you are in my prayers every day. God Bless, Janie
FREE FROM WORRY
Stop worrying about being perfect. Just be sincere, honest and authentic.
Stop worrying about what might or might not happen at some future time. Put your energy and attention into connecting with the richness of right now.
Take a deep, refreshing breath and feel the freedom as you let go of every worry you've been holding. Experience the full power of your thoughts and actions when they are constantly pointed in a positive direction.
Allow your thoughts to support and encourage you rather than hinder you. Free yourself to deal effectively and successfully with what is real and what is now.
Get in the habit of choosing and following your best possibilities instead of worrying about the worst ones. Bring your highest intentions to life and leave the worries far behind.
Worry brings you nothing worth having, so choose right now to free yourself from its grip. Focus on what you can do and why, and experience the true goodness that life can offer.
-- Ralph Marston

Thank you Chris for beautiful tags. :-)

Still sorting through things! lol

Thank you Sugar Shack Keepsakes for lovely tag.
I sure hope all of you are well and enjoying some warm weather. Well I worked again in the garage from approximately 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. We took off cardboard and newspaper again today. I have the Blazer loaded down in the back and the back seat. We will take things to DAV tomorrow. I got things on a shelf for the kids to look through. What they do not want I will take to DAV. Gary has gotten motivated to clear out and clean on his side of the garage. lol No one has any idea how much stuff we have! I have sold on ebay since 2002. I am not going to sell on there for quite a while. I need to sort through stuff and eliminate as much as possible. After I am finished with the garage I have to sort through a small shed. (Oh my!) I have things in there packed, priced, and ready to sale at a garage sale. We can have one as soon as I get the garage all straightened. Yes, Paula it does feel good to get rid of a lot of things!! I have given a way a lot of things that someone will love to sell on ebay. I just don't have much luck selling on there.
I think I am ready for a small break! We will go into Wichita tomorrow and maybe have breakfast. Wishing all of you a wonderful week with lots of blessings. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

My activites today.

Thank you Terry Ann for the beautiful graphic. :-)
Hope this finds all of you well. I got a lot done today, but still have a long way to go on organizing stuff. At one time today I was overwhelmed with everything! I moved to another side of the garage and came back down to earth. lol We recycled card board and newspapers this afternoon. Went to the Sonic and got.... buy one drink and get one free. lol
I must have worked up an appetite because I ate 2 hot dogs. I am almost a vegetarian. I do not eat much meat. I love fruit. My dad was a construction worker and we did not eat as good in the winter as we did in the summer. He would buy all kinds of fruit in the summer. I remember my mother making 4 pies on Saturday and we ate as much as we wanted!! lol She made the best pies. For entertainment we would pop a big bag of popcorn and go to the drive-inn for a dollar.
I could have really lived in the Garden Of Eden! I can just imagine the taste of all that food. I love strawberries, grapes, bananas... almost all fruit. I guess when you stop and think about it; God did not really intend for us to eat meat. He made the first blood sacrifice to cloth Adam and Eve. Don't you know that He did not like killing one of the animals that He created. I love animals... all of them are so wonderful. My favorite thing is going to the zoo.
Thank you Sugar for the beautiful graphic.
Wishing all of you a wonderful week. I will still be trudging along cleaning on the garage, and then on the small shed. I am pretty fast at working and organize really good when I have to. lol All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

My junk.. someone elses treasure! lol

Thank you Sugar Shack Keepsakes for tag
The weather was so nice today. I was outside in the garage sorting things. All 3 dogs and 3 cats were in there with me. lol Gary went to a Senior Center place and taught a lesson, painted our corner fence, trimmed my step-dad's lawn, and then came home and trimmed our yard. I had him put a couple of boxes on a shelf for me.
Oh my, I am getting more tired every day! The garage looks like 3 tornados hit it. I have 3 boxes and other loose things sorted to go to Goodwill or DAV. I am such a pack rat that it is hard for me to get rid of things. It seems to be getting easier as time passes. lol I have some things sorted for the kids to look at. I have 2 doll cradles and a doll baby bed that are vintage. Will see if they want them.
Next Sunday we will have the kids here. The oldest son, wife, and grand-daughter will be here for sure. Terry Ann and family is going to try to get here. Our youngest son and wife are not able to come. Seems like it is so hard to get everyone together at the same time.
Next Tuesday I will be singing at the Assistant Living place. Gary volunteered me. He mentioned that I could do it every week... hmmm this has been my "me time" without the TV. lol Well, I had best get off... I am feeling a little stiff in my back. Must have bent over too much because I don't remember lifting anything too heavy. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

Feeling Mischievous
Still tired! lol Pictures
Hope this finds all of you well. I am tired again! I got 3 things accomplished last week. I no longer am chasing little sugar ants! They were such a pain! My refrigerator had been leaking inside for way too long! I don't know why I procrastinate in getting things done?? I also took 4 boxes to DAV. I needed Gary to load one box that was too heavy for me. He started asking why I was getting rid of this and that. lol Because we do not need it.... I told him. He did manage to grab a pair of rubber boots out of the back of the Blazer! 2 pair had been sitting in the same spot for almost 2 years... never looked at or worn. I don't know how many times I had moved them from spot to spot. lol I did manage to get rid of one pair.
Today I went to the garage! What a sight! We have gone to garage sales and auctions for the last 3 to 4 years! Our kids know to call us when they need something; because who knows what we have?? I started cleaning on Gary's side of the garage! Oh wow! We have a wooden table that he was going to do work on... who could see it?? lol He started helping me and I now know that MAYBE that will be the way to get rid of things. lol After about an hour he started throwing things away too! lol He got all of his lumber straightened up... that he could not get to. lol A couple of times he said... "Look I forgot I had that!" He has let me do all the sorting, boxing, throwing away, and finding a place to put it. It is to the point of.... not having any place to put it! Wish me luck because it will take me a month of Sunday's to get it all done! It has to be done! DAV and Goodwill is going to have a large inventory by the time I am finished!
This is a picture of our Plum Tree and small Red Bud:
This is by our telephone pole! lol Gary made steel circle, that is bed frame in front that I paid a dollar for, Bud gave us the skulls (lmbo), I need to repair that house thing (big time!!), and the bull needs to straighten himself up! lol
This is the buffalo that Gary bought last Friday at a garage sale for $2. It has a new home on the back of the sofa! lol
All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

El Shaddai

I sang at church today; El Shaddai. We had Communion today. I seem to get myself into trouble without even trying. (sigh) The lady who makes out the bulletin forgot to write down that I was singing. Didn't bother me at all. lol While talking to my son I told him what song I was singing... He said, "You are singing today?" He looks over the bulletin. "I am really going to be running late and would you mind singing next Sunday?" I said I wouldn't mind at all. Last Sunday a man who just joined the church brought his wife. He told her that she should hear me sing. I made the statement that I would be singing next week. She is not in good health and has not been there but a couple of times. My son and I walked toward the entry and there they were. He said, "You're singing today." and smiled. His wife was sitting beside him and smiled. I said, "Well James is having Communion today and will be running late so I will sing next week." Hmmm the look on her face! One lady in Sunday School class always asks... "Are you singing today?" Well.... I should have just said no. lol I casually said, "Well I was but James is going to be running late because of communion; so I am going to sing next week." She says... "We can just be late letting church out." Before church started she came up to me and said I was singing. My son came over this afternoon for a cook out. He told me that he really got attacked over me! I guess 3 of the ladies from Sunday School informed him that they wanted me to sing. Oh my! It was worth getting into trouble because the new member came to me and said he thought I was not going to sing; and he just wanted to let meknow that the song made his wife cry. She told me how she enjoyed the song and how it touched her. I told my son this afternoon that maybe it would help if he would know that a song is only 3 to 4 minutes long. Many times I worship while practicing these songs. Words to music... can touch my soul.
You are all in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

Feeling Quiet
More Bench Pictures!
Well Gary wasn't happy with the wagon wheel bench; he said it needed arm rests. He made arm rests out of some old horse shoes we bought at an auction.
This is a picture of the 14 1/2 plus little girls size jeans that I bought at Goodwill. They had this insert already in them with a whimsical design. I painted over the design with silver and then painted the design on the leg. They look better on and at a distance. Something different. lol Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend with LOTS of blessings. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

Feeling Chillin'
Tired!

I really should be going to bed... but hey! time for an entry! It has really been hard staying off of journals. Right now I think I am feeling every emotion imaginable!! lol I am tired! I have been appealing county taxes and 9 times out of 10 I win. Before starting to pursue something like this... you must have the facts. Facts that say one thing but mean something else. lol Kind of a no win situation. I was fighting a loosing battle. The first of May I go in for another hearing. I even found the evaluation form on how they taxed me! They made a $2,000 mistake... how did they do that? They have to go by a form to be fair. Pictures do not work, you have to have written proof. They say my barn was built in 1998 when it was built in 1984... gee 14 years older! How did they get this figure when they have taxed me on it for years?? They were hoping that I did not have the paper work. I am a pack rat and keep all receipts. They said our shed was made in 1994 and thank goodness my son wrote his name and put the year 1988. I still have the 2 checks for the concrete and all supplies to make it. It cost $200 for the concrete and they say the concrete is worth $900. That is how much it cost for the whole shed!
I will give you some very valuable information if you have a county like mine. Do get a builders permit... for sure!! The permit states what the price is. Our building cost $34,000 and if it had not had a permit, the concrete alone on their valuation would be $31,000. Concrete never depreciates!!! They have raised the value of our land and I can understand that as long as they don't go over board. I am sure they will raise it more the next time!
Living with a husband like mine does not help!!! Grrrr I have been searching on line for information. I have gone to bed at 1 and even 3 a.m. one night. Sunday morning I got up at 7:30 to get ready for church. I was feeding the dogs. I gave Cherokee her food... and I was standing by the coffee pot in deep thought.. don't even know what I was thinking about. My husband yells out at me... "Wake up and do your job!!" I had not given the other 2 dogs their food and Cherokee was eating hers. I told him not to talk to me that way and a few other choice words. He made his exit into the master bathroom.

When he came back I told him... "I know that I am at the bottom of your sh@@ list but keep your mouth shut about what you think of me! You are not my parent, teacher, boss, and I am not your slave!" He said something hateful and I told him... "If you want to get technical about it; I get sick of watching you sleep in your recliner every night for 2 hours before you go to bed, with your mouth open!" Monday he twisted his knee and could not sleep for 2 nights. He has not fallen asleep in his recliner as much this week. Then today I said something and he got mad!! The man has a brain problem! I got in the car, met Terry Ann and Carlie, and dropped a bunch of stuff off at DAV. Keeping a receipt... income is just as bad as state!! lmbo
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend. I wonder if the weather has something to do with moods... it isn't a full moon out tonight. lol Sorry for the rant! I have read a few rants other than mine. lol All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

Feeling Happy
A lesson learned??

A week ago Saturday Gary ran into the grocery store to pick up milk. He also bought a couple of 1/2 gallons ice cream. When he got home he looked at the receipt and saw where they had not charged him for a gallon of milk. Milk was on sale for $2.79 a gallon. He wanted to go back into town; which is approximately 10 mile round trip. I told him that it was not necessary to go back in there now. I also told him that it was hard telling how many times I had gotten charged over. Shame on me, right? Well... Sunday morning he got up and got dressed for church. He was running around franticly and I asked him what was wrong. I have lost my wallet!! First time he has done something like this. He called the store and they had it at customer service. He said to me... "Well, the Lord took care of it but I knew I should have gone back last night when I found the mistake." If he had gone back to the store he would have realized that he had lost his wallet. Because he did not go back into the store; he did not realize he had lost his wallet until the next morning. That is a long time for someone to have your wallet.
In my prayers and wishing all of you a wonderful week. Janie
