Feeling Happy
El Shaddai

I sang at church today; El Shaddai. We had Communion today. I seem to get myself into trouble without even trying. (sigh) The lady who makes out the bulletin forgot to write down that I was singing. Didn't bother me at all. lol While talking to my son I told him what song I was singing... He said, "You are singing today?" He looks over the bulletin. "I am really going to be running late and would you mind singing next Sunday?" I said I wouldn't mind at all. Last Sunday a man who just joined the church brought his wife. He told her that she should hear me sing. I made the statement that I would be singing next week. She is not in good health and has not been there but a couple of times. My son and I walked toward the entry and there they were. He said, "You're singing today." and smiled. His wife was sitting beside him and smiled. I said, "Well James is having Communion today and will be running late so I will sing next week." Hmmm the look on her face! One lady in Sunday School class always asks... "Are you singing today?" Well.... I should have just said no. lol I casually said, "Well I was but James is going to be running late because of communion; so I am going to sing next week." She says... "We can just be late letting church out." Before church started she came up to me and said I was singing. My son came over this afternoon for a cook out. He told me that he really got attacked over me! I guess 3 of the ladies from Sunday School informed him that they wanted me to sing. Oh my! It was worth getting into trouble because the new member came to me and said he thought I was not going to sing; and he just wanted to let meknow that the song made his wife cry. She told me how she enjoyed the song and how it touched her. I told my son this afternoon that maybe it would help if he would know that a song is only 3 to 4 minutes long. Many times I worship while practicing these songs. Words to music... can touch my soul.

Glad you got to sing anyway and I'm sure everyone there was happy for it too. Our piano player was not at church and our minister has left but it was a blessing to be there anyway. Paula
