Thank you Sugar for the beautiful tag.

We all have to try something before we know what it is like. Am I correct or incorrect? How do we explain how a strawberry tastes unless we taste it first? Can we open a combination lock without the combination? I remember I forgot the combination of a lock one time. I twisted, turned, and tried to remember what it was. To me that was much like the events in my life... twists and turns.... going nowhere. I cast the lock aside for it was not any good to me. This is what the Bible says, not me. God will knock on one's heart so many times and then He moves on. He does not force us to accept Him, we have a free will.

Accepting Jesus Christ:

1. We are to come as we are. He will never refuse anyone.

2. You will be like a "New Babe" without sin.

3. Jesus said we are to be like a child. I child believes all things.

4. The only unforgivable sin is to not accept Him.

Things that I thought was important years ago are so insignificant right now. I believe that one day when I meet my maker I will be held responsible for those that I did not TRY to reach. I am not a teacher or anyone special. If someone has not accepted Jesus Christ... then they have no idea what I am talking about. I was 32 when I accepted Jesus Christ. I told a friend at the age of 22 that I was not ready to become a Christian because I could not be good enough. Not only that but I thought I would have to give up so many things. My friend laughed at me and told me that God wanted me to have a good time. At that time of my life things were pretty good. I was married and had 2 small children. Thought I had a faithful husband and would live with him for years. Within 11 years I had been married 3 times and divorced twice. I was also heading for another divorce. I could not handle my life anymore. I had made a mess of my life making the wrong choices. Admitting this is not easy! If it helps someone then it is worth it.

I accepted Jesus Christ after I had been married to Gary 6 months. I will be honest ... things did not get better over night. It took a long time for me to understand that I could not change Gary... or change anyone else ... it was ME that I had to change. I had to change my thought patterns because this is how Satin was defeating me! Our thoughts determine if we are going to have a bad day or good day. He wants us to look back instead of ahead. Yesterday is gone and no matter how much we would like to change it... we can not!! It happened! One thing about the future... it comes One Day At A Time.

May all of you have a blessed Sunday. You are all in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

Thank you Sugar for the beautiful tag.

Prayer to me is like a "Life Line". Like one of those little things that you wear around your neck when in trouble. The only difference is that it does not have to be a life threatening event for prayer. Some day when things are going well and trouble seems far out of sight, we could loose everything that we own. None of us really know what tomorrow may bring. If you do... please let me know how you do it. lol

How important are our worldly possessions? How important is our "peace of mind"? Which would we rather have; worldly goods or peace of mind? Do you know what "Peace beyond understanding" is like? As for me... I am trying to get there. lol I still have a long way to go. It is sometimes hard to achieve. We have to be willing to make the change of thoughts that we carry around. Are we carrying around a bag of garbage everywhere we go? Old hurts, resentments, anger, and untrusting? By carrying it around and not forgetting it does it make our load lighter or heavier? This thought just came to mind: I felt bad because I had no shoes until I saw the man who had no feet.

Sometimes thoughts will come to mind and I will either ignore them or write them down. Last night right before I went to bed these thoughts entered my mind.

Hebrews 4:16

16. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Wishing all of you a blessed Sunday. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

We were going to go to the State Fair today. We drove there but the rain was still coming down! I should have worn boots instead of moccasins. We stopped right before we got there and ate at the Amish cafe. Very good food and plenty! We have not been on vacation since getting the little miniature horses. :-( Big horses can pretty much take care of themselves, but not miniatures. They have no idea what barbed wire is. It was an hour and half drive. Enjoyed getting away and it not being a garage sale or auction!! lol

Our youngest son went with us. He actually got today off. We ended up at the COSMOSPHERE. We saw 2 movies and checked out the museum. I loved the movies! We saw all the planets and stars according to size, information, and etc. Was like sitting out under the stars. Wow! After seeing all the sizes and hearing all that information it makes you feel smaller than a speck of dust! Such a wonder! The other one was about the Grand Canyon and how we should conserve water. That is another wonder! We had a great time.

I took a couple of pictures of the sunset in Kansas the other evening. The other 2 was taken at the COSMOSPHERE, stained glass, and the Black Bird that will go 3,000 miles an hour. Wow!

Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend with lots of blessings. I am having an email friend and her 10 year old son come for a visit tomorrow afternoon. All are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

I would like to thank all of you so much for your prayers and comments about Snow Satin. :-)

Sorry I am loading photos and doing my entry the way most people do. lol Normally I write my entry in an email and save it. Copy, paste entry, and then download photos into entry. lol

I was standing on the stall gate to get this photo of Miss Gracie. I think she is pretty. Only cost us $200. She is so spoiled.

I love looking at her eyes!

Snow Satin was below me checking me out! Smelling of me. Wondering why I was paying more attention to Miss Gracie!! lol

When I finally came out of Snow Satin's stall... Speedy Moon is saying.... "Hey! Here I am! Give me some attention too!!"

Wishing all of you a wonderful week with lots of blessings. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

This is Snow Satin meeting me when I stepped into her stall. As you can see... she is a fat little turkey!!

I have always leaned down to Speedy Moon and Snow Satin and told them to give me sugar. They will smell my breath. Kind of calms them down. I love to touch their nose.... sooo soft.

First of all I am going to make several entries so just letting you know and you will only have to comment one time. This morning it was cold and raining. I put on a jacket and rain cap and headed for the barn. This is how the 3 horses greeted me. lol Speedy Moon and Snow Satin are locked in their stalls, but Miss Gracie can leave if she wishes. She has always liked to stay with the miniature horses. She did not like Gus the burro at all when we first got her. lol

This is Speedy Moon: When the horses get bored they chew their stalls!!

This is Snow Satin:

Oh my what a week I have had. First let me explain that many may not know it, but I am easily hurt, cry very easy, and love animals as I love humans. I can not watch shows that bring tears because I will cry. I cry when I see the flag at the beginning of ball games, hear the National Anthem, and many religious songs make me cry. I can sing at a funeral because I have trained myself to not cry. Several of them I have cried, but was able to manage my voice. I do not cry much for myself, I have conquered that, maybe because I have been hurt too much over time?? God is in full control of my life and I am in His care through all things. I do cry for others and even animals.

I can not even remember what day it was... Thursday... I think. Gary had said that Snow Satin (our little miniature horse) must have injured her foot and he gave her some meds that the vet had given us. Wednesday evening I did not go to church so I visited the horses and sat in the yard late. I noticed that she was walking kind of funny. I have been telling him... to be honest here... arguing with him over letting the miniature horses on the grass too much this year. In so many words he has as much as said I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about! Being honest this time! Thursday morning he came in and told me to call the vet because she would not come out of her stall. She would not walk. The vet came and left telling him that she may be foundered. He did not want to admit it. Soon Gary left to do some work in our son's yard... I went out to see Snow Satin. I just started crying and praying. She could not walk and looked like she was going to fall down! I was begging for God to do something for her, please. I started rubbing her legs... all 4 of them. I don't know why. I just felt like I should rub her legs. I had to go in the house. She moved slowly toward me when I stopped at the stall door. I finally went in and praying all the time. I was mentally distraught. Gary and our son came here to get something. He said that she was better and now walking. He did not know that I had been to the barn, prayed, and rubbed her legs. I rubbed her legs twice Thursday. The next morning she was a little better. I rubbed her legs twice that day. After rubbing her legs she always walked a little better. She was doing much better Saturday. Sunday we went to church and I did not go out that morning or that afternoon. I was just too tired and exhausted. Gary went to feed the horses, came to the door, and said to call the vet that she was down and did not want to get up. She had not ate anything or passed any stool that day. I went to the barn. Gary has not really heard me pray. We just do not pray together except at meal time and he says the same prayer each time. I was crying and praying aloud. I told God to forgive me for being selfish over a little horse. I told Him that I would be okay with His choice. The thought of my horse dying was not as much concern to me as what she would have to endure if she did not get well. I told Gary that night that he would have to either take care of her or put her down because I could not stand to watch if her hooves got bad and maybe rotted off. She had been sick for 4 days. You are suppose to call the vet immediately when you suspect a horse being foundered. I had gone on line and it is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a horse if they are real toxic. Some of them just don't have the will power to live.

This all started at 8 p.m. Sunday night. The vet was on a call. The answering service said they could not call him until 9 p.m. I took the phone to the barn with me but it did not ring in the barn. Gary said it would be 45 minutes until the vet would be calling. I came in the house to check voice mail. The vet had called and told me to call him back. The other vet, Scott, had came to see her on Thursday. Scott was out of town so I was talking to Mike. I know Mike real well. He said "Okay Janie tell me what is going on." I told him that Thursday Scott had come out and told Gary that he thought Snow Satin had been foundered. He gave us an antibiotic and told us to give her the non-steroid also, 1/4 pill twice a day. She was bad. When I saw her I just started to cry and pray. I rubbed her legs and I don't know if that was bad or good. I know that you do not rub the legs if you have a blood clot. She has been getting a little better each day but tonight she got down and did not want to get up. She was laying in the barn and I started to pray and rubbed her legs. She got up and slowly walked to the door of her pin. All of a sudden she laid down and her legs got stiff and she kind of jerked and her eyes looked kind of wild. She has had a steady diet of grass until we put her in her stall. She has been eating hay and I hope she does not now have colic. I started rubbing her legs while she was down. She got up again, I rubbed her legs, she then started eating some of the old hay that was on the ground. I took some hay from the feed bin and she started eating it. All of a sudden she walked right over to her feed bin and ate a tiny bit of her grain, then she went to her hay bin and ate the hay. Right now she is eating her hay. She seemed to walk pretty good.

He told me that he did not think that she was having colic because there is a lot of movement with the stomach. He thought she was just having a lot of pain in her legs. She did not have a blood clot in her legs, she just has a circulation problem in her legs, and by all means rub her legs if it makes her feel better. As long as she is up and acting all right to just call him in the morning at 8 and leave a message because he would be in around 8:15. I called the next morning but he must have forgotten that it was Labor Day. I did leave a message with answering service to tell him that she was doing better.

Snow Satin is better. I rubbed her legs yesterday and she allowed me to rub them. Today she would not stand still long enough for me to rub them and did not seem to want them rubbed at all. Yesterday evening she even nipped me below the knee when rubbing her a little on the shoulders. She has never nipped me before! lol It was kind of like her telling me... "Okay! Enough is enough!!" lol So far she is still doing better and acting normal. She is snickering to me every time I walk in the barn. She is still in her stall and will have to go out less from now on.

Something to share with those of you who believe in God. I heard this on a radio station one time when in the car. I use to listen to this minister with the last name of McGee. He said that before Jesus healed anyone that He told them to do something first... Pick up your bed and get in the water... etc. When rubbing Snow Satin's legs I kept worrying about doing something wrong or making it worse. The instinct was strong enough to out weigh the doubt. I kept rubbing them. Each time God reviling that He was near, hearing my prayers. I know without a shadow of a doubt that the only reason that Snow Satin is doing better is because of God and prayer... that simple. God uses bad things to teach all of us. If we didn't have a problem we wouldn't know that God could solve them. If there is someone who don't know him and this story knocked on your hearts door... please listen because in the Bible it tells us that He will only knock on your hearts door so many times and then He leaves you alone. Time in this world is only a SPIT compared to ETERNITY.

May all of you have a blessed week. All of you are in my prayers. Love, hugs, and prayers, Janie

Well I will try to finish up the photos of in front of the garage.

I can not believe I can not find a new owner for this little picnic bench! If the church does not want it for their yard, I will try to find a place for it here. Do any of you remember those old corn huskers or old scales? Gary painted both of them so that takes away the value. Oh well, they are just going to sit there. lol He got the old gas pump from where he worked. They did not want it anymore. Not a real hose on it... he put something on there. This side is not completely finished yet.

Well I had best be getting around! Meeting around 15 other people this evening for someone's surprise birthday. Going to be at a small town in a small cafe... so hope we all have room to sit! Wishing all of you a wonderful evening with lots of blessings. All of you are in my prayers. God Bless, Janie

Well.... I am almost finished but not quite yet! Before and after photos. Taking photos from the south to the north. Deleted the photos. :-) Have a blessed week. Janie

After: Took old broken white flower stand and threw in trash, cleaned under bench and all around. Looks some what better.

Rearranged the chairs. The stand on the left of the chair is an OLD stainless can that Dairy Queen used for milk or cream. I took a stepping stone and placed on top because it did not have a lid. Nice to have a place to put phone, Pepsi, and whatever next to me. Other can is another Dairy Queen milk can.... Gary need to take off the lid and replace it again. It is not on straight. Of course Mamma Kitty had to get her picture taken. I may have too much on here to download to my journal. I had best check and see before going any further. lol Blessings, Janie

The garage is done on 2 sides!! WooHoo! I have a CARDBOARD BEAR (hehehe) that I got from a Vacation Bible skit a couple of years ago and I am wanting to stand him up in front of everything.... if I can figure out how to get him to stand! I think they forgot to give me part of the prop. I am sure that Gary can figure it out for me... if not... I can. lol The other 2 photos is of the side with the van. The cardboard bear is hanging over the cart for the miniature horses. Yes! There is a cart for a miniature horse in the first photo. lol I also got the small shed completely done today! Feels really good! Think I will do some cleaning on the house and the yard tomorrow. The yard needs a little straightening from a woman's touch. lol I also want to start painting on a huge statuary Indian Head (man). Deleted photos. :-)
