What's on our nightstands? -- The semi-regular feature continues...

As Labor Day weekend approaches (wait, I think it's here! I'd better grab a martini... oh, wait, I'm still at the office...), my thoughts turn to -- what else? -- reading. Here's what I've got in my stack:

'The Emperor's Children' by Claire Messud

'The Discomfort Zone' by Jonathan Franzen

'All Aunt Hagar's Children' by Edward P. Jones

'The Book of Fate' by Brad Meltzer

Your turn(s)!

I have the books, minus Meltzer, on my nightstand as bookmaven2005. I also have the Alice McDermott book After This. It is like looking at the Thanksgiving dessert table and trying to figure out what to read first, so I am reading several at a time, which I really do not like to do. Oh, also Haddon book A Spot of Bother

Brizendine's comments on men vs women's multi-lane/country road approaches and large mtropolital/small country airports, and how often thoughts on sex occur, is full of bunk.  Now come on, Doc B, just because you're on UCSF's med school staff, do you really think this makes you an expert - or should it be "sextpert" on the topic?
