BREAKING: Simpson Book Cancelled
Just in case you haven't read it somewhere else first... Rupert Murdoch has put the kibosh on the ReganBooks 'If I Did It' O.J. Simpson deal.
Publisher's Lunch ran this with a head of "Faith Restored."
I say: good riddance to bad rubbish.
But let me also say this: I love ReganBooks. The imprint (regardless of whether or not you do or don't like Judith Regan) publishes some of the most beautiful, provocative and interesting titles every year. I hope that this lapse in judgment won't change that.

OJ did it, plain and simple, as proven in court in the second decision. The families of the victims have received not one red cent, OJ has stated that he will never pay them, he sells his autographs at any kind of event, and now this book and interview.
If he would just stop trying to get into the news every 6 months, this matter would find its rightful place in criminal history, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I feel sorry for his children. -
Buy O.J.'s book or watch the T.V. special??? I wouldn't piss in his mouth if his guts were on fire!!!

Well I personaly think the interview and book should have gone forward. In our country we have choice. "If you don't like it don't watch it, dom't read it" But I resent the pressure from people like OReilly and Geraldo Rivera or the nay sayers decideing for me what I can see or read.

I will be paying more attention to the publishers of the books I buy, and God help me, if I pick up a book published by Reganbooks, I will have the wisdom to hit myself in the head with it, set it down, and move on.
I have no interest contributing to the well being of anyone who would publish such sociopathic journalism.
