Tree Trimming Party and Other Monday Details...

The first few hours of my day today was spent going thru email and printing open enrollment forms for 130 employees and copying brochures off and so forth.  Then I had 15 pages of notes from individual employee meetings that I had to type up (7 typed pages).  That was almost like writing a research paper.  LOL

At 2:00 we had a tree trimming party for the office folks to come decorate and personalize their ornament and then hang on the tree.  I'm grateful for two of our office folks that threw the party together with snacks and drinks and sent the emails and gathered the supplies.  That was great.  I was supposed to get the paint pens this weekend and was on vacation Friday and I totally forgot....that is what I get for relying on my memory.  This is why I take notes and make lists (memory overload).  But, someone ran out and got them at lunch time.  It was a nice little tree trimming party.

I ate my lunch at my desk while typing, but I did run out and get $ transferred from the credit union due to some more shopping that needs to be completed.  Then I went thru Jack in the Box asking for 1/2 and 1/2 tea.  I asked at the window if it was 1/2 and 1/2 and the lady said "what?".  I repeated and she had a deer in headlight look but said "yes it is 1/2 and 1/2".  I said "great, I'll check to be safe" and slid the straw in and slluuuurrrp.....I said "nope, it's not even tea...it's some diet drink".  The girl grabbed it quickly out of my hands like she was mad.  And then fixed me my tea.  LOL  I tasted it.  It was 1/2 and 1/2 but it was so bad tasting that I came back to work and thru it in the trash.  Now that is bad.  But that was my experience today.  Thank goodness for the Mountain Dew at the tree trimming party so I could get my afternoon caffiene.

Took TheTeen thru Chic Filet once home.  She was starving for chicken and could not wait until 7:30 or 8:00 to eat with us.  I don't blame her.  I had my Mission's meeting tonight and so we were eating late.  Plus Hubby had some errands to run too.

Ok the rash is coming back on my chest and neck.  It began breaking out Sunday afternoon after I bragged to Lemon Juice about how it has gone away now.  LOL  We had salsa for lunch, so I'm starting to wonder if it is tomatoes.  My ears itch too and sometimes I itch everywhere but the rash seems to be on my chest and neck and it acts like a sunburn with ocassional little blisters (tiny tiny and not very painful) --similar to how a sunburn does.  And kinda like a sunburn itches.  And it often has these welts or is it welps?  LOL  Anyway, I know ya'll keep saying I need to go to the doctor but it is only a minor irritant.  It is enough to me that I will mention it in my journal b/c in my mind I'm inquisitive about what is going on.  At this point it does not appear to be a risk to my health, and there are no other side effects.  So I do not wish to blow money up a wild boar's hind side if not necessary.  LOL  And if it is tomatoes I'm allergic to, I will NOT give up my pasta.  No I will not, no I will not.  Nor my salsa either.  LOL
I was going to give it up long enough to see if the rash went away then add it back to see if I broke out.  But....I forgot tonight and dipped my chicken in ketchup.  LOL  So much for that.

Well, I have a story to tell about some Christmas Visitors that came to see my friend Bee <notice my Christmas squirrel graphic above>.  She has had a bout with squirrels in her condo.  Apparently the maintenance folk put some grates in place to keep the squirrels out of everyone's attics.  Only there were squirrels in the attic and then they were trapped.  And they all came down to Bee's condo.  She had several squirrels in her apartment.  She called one of our mutual friends, Ronnie, Mr. Chickenman, to come out and help capture them.  He came out twice I think she said.  She was afraid more would show up when she went to bed and so she shut the bedroom door.  The next day she realized she had shut herself up with a squirrel in her bedroom.  This cracked me up.  I could not believe all this.  She took pictures if I can squirrel one out of her.  LOL  Thanks for story Bee and I hope all this resolves itself soon.  I am sure it is not funny at the time.  On the other hand, you should have plenty of nuts stored around for the holiday season.  LOL

And I'll end on that note, b/c I can't top that story.

Nite Nite

Funny about the squirrels and Bee... so glad she survived.  I can just see the squirrel in the bedroom and the two of them staring eachother down.  LOL.  The tree trimming party sounds so nice.  It is such a busy time of year... hugs,

The story about Bee is hilarious.  LOL  The tree trimming sounds like fun.  I hope you figure out what the problem is with the rash.

Loved the story about Bea and her squirrels!! I hope it was resolved.
As far as your rash....my only advice is that if you can't figure out the problem, then you do need to ask your Doc for help. Your immune system is being challenged right now because of this allergy, or whatever. So it can't fight other stuff as effeciently. So hopefully you won't start getting sick. Good luck!
