I'm really tired tonight all of a sudden and plan to keep this short tonight. But probably won't.
I really got a lot done at work today. At least my desk looks better. However, as far as a normal week though, it's as if I've not even been there. Primarily I have worked on employee issues and Open Enrollment and holiday stuff. None of my weekly normal work is touched. But....at least let's focus one what I DID get done....I stapled together the 6 pages of enrollment forms for each employee and placed all (134 of them) in the employee's open enrollment packets along with several other brochures that had to be copied and added. I've more still to add tomorrow. Our meetings are Friday! The signs are posted and already employees are asking about it and wanting their packets early and asking questions. I've mostly been avoiding answering the questions. It gets too involved when I'm being pumped for info and then every answer I give provokes more questions. I've just had to say "I can't go into it now, but we'll get the whole scoop Friday". No packets given early unless they are on vacation or off that day. After all we are still adding things to the packets daily. Oh, and I had to come back and add that I got the Christmas meal flyer posted and also printed out 32 invitations for our 32 retirees and stuffed those in 32 envelopes and made labels and got those ready to go out in the mail tomorrow. So Bee...be looking for yours...and as usual it is on a Wednesday (the 19th) b/c it was the best day to have it. LOL <Wednesday's mess with our Long Horn day and our day to get served by Charlie, our favorite waiter>. Which by the way....tomorrow IS Wednesday so you know what that means.
So....my family has enjoyed creating the "wee mee" people on www.weeworld.com and as you see my little "wee mee" is my cartoon character in my side bar. When I change her clothes in wee world it automatically feeds to my journal. I love that. If I have time, I'll change her clothes and her mood to match my own. LOL Her facial expressions change too. So....TheTeen did a Wee Mee and she did one for Hubby and he loves it. Soon I will take some screen shots of their Wee Mee's or what I may do is put all three Wee Mee's in my side bar. LOL Who knows. If you do a wee mee yourself, let me know b/c we can be friends and our little wee mee's show up in each other's site. I'll do a special Wee Mee entry before long telling you more about it and showing you the screen shots. Tonight I'm too tired. But we are really having fun with it.
After I picked up TheTeen we went out and finished up Auntie M and Uncle K's Christmas so we can get their gifts mailed off soon to J'ville. We had fun doing this. And we also got 3 more people some gifts. So we are really knocking the list down. I can't say where we went b/c Auntie M might read about her gift. LOL
We stopped by Keva Juice too in the same area and got us a small frozen juice drink. Then headed over to Target so TheTeen could get her two friends birthday gifts. She is going to two birthday parties this weekend. So we got gifts for that. I also bought a little gift for my pen pal that used to be one of my roommates in college. She lives up in CT.
I spoke with our friends Lisa and Don to see what I need to fix for our visit Saturday. There are several couples coming. We have all split the menu. The main dish is lasagna. Yeah, I'm not going to be able to lay off tomatoes. LOL Not yet anyway. Anyway someone is bringing salad, someone an appetizer, someone the bread so I'm bringing the fudge pies to the meal. I will make them Friday night. One with nuts and one without. Which means grocery run Thursday night.
So...upon arriving home....we played the elimination game and figured out that we were having Chili Mac Hamburger Helper. Here's hoping that our hamburger meat was not on the recall list mentioned on the news a few days ago. I forgot to check. Guess we'll know soon enough.
Well, I'm worn out now. Ready to sleep. Might read a chapter in my book. 1 chapter is about 3 pages. Good thing.
