11:08:00 PM EST

Wednesday hath made us a bit weary....well, as I type Hubby is roaming around the house whistling....hmmpth...I'm too tired to be that happy. LOL Then again, he got up at 6:00.....I got up at 4:00.
Today at work, I finished copying things that had to be added to all the benefit packets. Our meetings are Friday, still. And unless there is more last minute surprises (usually there is) I'm all finished with the packets for open enrollment.
I began working on a legal case, providing documents for the lawyer, about mid morning. I have to spend way too much time on these things now. Anyway, I was only going to get started on it and realized, if I don't finish this before Friday - it won't be done until way after the lawyer was supposed to have his case typed up. So....I decided I better knock it out. I had to run queries, copy policies, and look up lots of information and make spreadsheets, etc. I did not finish, but I at least only have to make a few more copies, box it up, and then fed ex it. Then I can work on the huge stack of things that I need to work on for payroll for this week, as well as other employee requests. One employee, bless his heart, has asked me every day since last Thursday if I've written up and filed his tuition reimbursement - no I hadn't - always in employee meetings, meeting deadline for corporate, prepping the benefits stuff, or working on the legal cases. Everything else has halted til those things got done. Now I only have one day to get these things done and then all the benefits fun begins.
Already I have raised my voice at a coworker today who kept interrupting about something today and wanting me to get involved in an issue I didn't have time to get into. After about the 15th question from several employees on this same issue, I had reached my limit of what all my head can hold and what all my hands can do at one time. I wish I had a recording of all the conversations, emails, phone calls on this one subject. It was enough to send you to the crazy farm. Anyway, its something that I don't have time for right now and if they need me to be involved it will have to be after benefits enrollment. I have no extra energy, no extra brain power, no extra typing time, no extra project time, no extra discussion time, no extra approval time. It's all usurped, used, gone...I'm all tied up until later - maxed out - cup overfloweth! LOL I'm practically hyperventilating as we speak and a breaking out in hives on my neck over the stress. ...Anyway, I had to tell them that I could do what they wanted but it would have to be later...that I just didn't have time to deal with that right now. End of story. Someone please tell me to breathe periodically..
Deep breath in......hold......release.......
Deep breath in......hold......release.......
LOL Find my sense of humor....seek patience....find my scriptures.....LOL
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is god's will for you in Christ Jesus." I Thessalonians 5: 16-18
Thank you, Lord for this crazy time in my life, for the crazy season, for the crazy benefits open enrollment, for the crazy time frames in which we have been alotted to do data entry in, and for my (no they are not crazy) co workers that want to do a good job and depend on me for answers - and help me to be patient and not snort at them with flared nostrils when I'm too busy to breathe and they can't see it. And Lord, help Bee so that she doesn't have anymore squirrels in her apartment and feel like she is going "nuts". (LOL) And please take away these itchy hives that are making my night unpleasant as there is not anytime to go to the doc yet. Amen.
Ahhhh...much better.....
Around 3:10 I realized that I was supposed to have left at 3:00 to take TheTeen to the dentist. I had to rush. Got to school, paid her tuition in the business office, then drove to G-Town, ran thru Starbucks for a Cafe Mocha (needed to stay awake) and got TheTeen to her 4:30 dentist appointment. Then we ran home and took the dog out and fed all the critters and headed back to church. We had dinner at church and then watched the day care children's performance. Very nice. We had to slip out and leave just before 8:30 though. Had things we needed to do at home, and TheTeen had some homework and other things to do.
So....yeah....Wednesday hath made us weary. In a big way...

I mean, when you have closed your door and are unable to answer questions to the employees, that's bad!! Good luck with it. Must not be too awful, you don't talk about leaving...which is a good thing!
Enjoy your weekend.
