Benefits Update

OMGosh....it takes so loooong to enter these benefit forms that I've brought home to enter.  I think I started working on this around 8:00 ish.  It's 10:43 and I'm heading to bed.  My progress is 8 people and 3 of them had incomplete, incoherent, or inaccurate information selected.  Anyway, I've entered what I could tonight.  Only 6 percent entered and not all those are correct b/c of the inaccuracies mentioned.  In addition 2 of the 6 have to complete evidences of insurability.  The process is very tedious.

Wow...here's what all I'm doing on our system for these enrollments if you are interested:

I have to go in and stop ALL plans with the stop date for deductions and the stop date for coverage.  Only one plan remains the same (our vision).  Then I have to go in and insert new rows into each panel of benefit with the new deduction date and the new coverage date, select the new plan (all our benefits are brand new), select the coverage level (single, family, etc.), include/select beneficiaries if necessary and so forth.

The benefit plans I have to do this for include:  health, dental, some entries on vision, life, dependent life, spousal life, AD&D, supplemental AD&D, Short Term disability, Long Term Disability, Flex Health Spending, Flex Dependent Spending.  I have to enter both the stop information and the new information on all these screens.  It takes forever and requires heavy concentration.  Have to watch the ages on the dependents and if student status is not checked in my system then I have to get back with emp and tell them they cannot be covered.  It's just a tedious process, lots of communications with emps as problems are covered up or if eligibility forms needed or problems with the information given.

I can't close my door b/c I need to be available for questions.  LOL  Anyway, the company made these tight deadlines and I'm doing my best.  They made their bed and I'm trying to lie in it but I guess I'm too big.  LOL  It is what it is.  That is my new motto for the week.  LOL

Nite Nite for real this time.

I'm sorry that this has been so bad.  I pray they extend it for you.  I mean, really, what are you supposed to do?  Lots of Love!

All Cliff's insurance changed except for vision too.  I suppose his HR guy is snowed under just like you are.  Only maybe he doesn't have such a tight deadline.
