Too Tired for a Title....

More things blooming.  do you know what these are called?
Here is the close up.  I've been told 4 or 5 times but I don't have any memory slots left in my brain with so much always going on.  LOL

They were starting to bloom yesterday but today the flowers opened up.  So pretty.  Always fun to see what is about to bloom next.

Gizmo hanging out in the garage/unfinished basement....their condo is down there.  This has pretty much been her spot lately.  Gizmo came upstairs today.  She is not really used to it yet.  They are learning to venture up here some.  The cats really feel good in their "safe room" right now...

Smokie always has been the adventurous cat so it is no surprise that she is all comfortable coming up and visiting us in the evenings.  She has taken a liking to that this week especially.  She loves the sun room too.  We've kept Bob down stairs with her wound.  It's drying up but I just can't stand the thought of her being upstairs right now.  Ick...sorry sweet Bob.  She is content to be down there.  She is doing much better now and she walked around the yard a lot this afternoon when we were outside.

Here is our panelled room...that Hubby does not want to paint over.  He likes it dark like this...I keep thinking since he's claimed so much of the downstairs that perhaps MOI should get to determine the color of the room.  LOL  However, it is very nice as a "den" just like it is.  So I guess I'm ok with it.

In the one below you can actually see part of the chair.  I always sit in the chair to watch movies.

And here is my library....it's not finished yet....more books to go and I want to rearrange them some.  Now that the little fish tank is not sitting there anymore, I can put those tall books that are sideways on the bottom middle shelf.   The desk light will probably move over some too.  All my books are here as well as the cookbooks on the top two shelves.  We have enough recipes for a lifetime and also have enough books to read.  We can never say we are bored.

Oh lookie...you can see Hubby in the kitchen from here.

TheTeen likes this as a study spot in the afternoons..she opens the window screens and lets the breeze come in, listens to the birds, and no doubt laughs at me wrestling with that big long water hose...she might have heard a few choice words as well.  What can I say?  I fought the hose and the hose won?  It was due a few choice words.  LOL  And after working all day I am in no mood to fuss with a hose pipe.  LOL  The hose got stuck in the reel thingie....oh well...where was I?  TheTeen loves this spot and she has spent OVER 3 hours there tonight studying Geometry.  Then we ate pizza and toasted ravioli out here.  (Oh she has her hair put up by the way in this picture...it's not cut - in case you were wondering).

Then I wanted to show you this little bottle I have in the kitchen.  I think it is cute.  Look how little the cork is?  LOL

Well, not much to report...work was busy as usual.  The email and internet (server?) I think --was down as we had a power outage last night.  It took 1/2 a day to get it back.  I have such a stack of things to do that you would not believe the line up.  It's so crazy right now.  I need some peace at work so I can get these things done instead of putting out fires.

I worked in the yard today, after watering everything and fighting with the water hose.  I clipped the other iris beds...clipped the stems with the dead iris on them...so the beds do not look ugly...once the foliage begins to dry up we'll be cutting them down to fan shape a few inches near the base of the plant.

Once inside, my agenda changed.  Instead of unpacking some boxes, Hubby wanted to hang pictures.  Well when a Hubby is wanting to be a handy man...how can I refuse that.  So he hung the boating party picture up above that you see in the panelled den.  And then he hung the Charles Frace prints that Auntie M gave me....here they are....They look look lovely don't they?  Except nothing really looks good on this wallpaper.  LOL

So I have some paint samples on the wall to remind me that one day the wall paper will be NO MORE.  It'll be one of the lighter colors below...and I've thought about having a darker color (third row down) as an accent wall...still pondering that one though.

And isn't Tugie a mess?  She is just all tired out.  From what?  I want to know what?  Did she and that dog across the street bark at each other all day long?  She's got it made in the shade....and I'm about to join her.

Nite Nite....

I showed Rob the picture of the flowers at the top and he thinks maybe they are a form of dianthus, dyanthus?  I have a hard time with those latin flower spellings.  He says it is a very old flower that has been around for a long time and he does not think it is a new kind of mix.  LOL I enjoy picking his brain about these landscaping things he learned over the years and all.  He had some landscape sciences in college and can usually tell you about all this sort of thing.  We had a hard time in Florida though because everything is very different and tropical there and they didn't teach him as much about that sort of thing.  Love the decorating and pictures!!  I have been looking for a place in my kitchen for my cookbooks and I cannot find one.  I did not think to put them in the family room!!  What a great idea as our family room is beside our kitchen too!!  Maybe I will try that.  I am not liking where my cookbooks are at present.  LOL I can hear you fighting with the water hose..... Hugs,

I like the panelled room too. It looks very nice!  Don't deny hubby if he wants to be a handy man.  The pictures look lovely.  You both did a very good job!!  It seems like everyone likes the sunroom.  I was actually wondering if the teen had cut her hair.  You're a mind reader!  I'm glad to see her working so hard on her Geometry.  I love the little bottle.  LOL about Tugie being so tired.  Being on guard duty all day...watching over your beautiful new  home is tiresome I know.  Bless her heart.

Your flowers might be dianthus (pinks). Can't quite see that close, but could be them.
