Hearing My Morning Jacket rock out

I Can't Wait for Sunday

The problem with looking at a game like the Colts at the Patriots this weekend is that coming from my standpoint and looking at it from my angle, the Patriots do not have a chance to win this game one bit.  There are just too many injuries in Foxboro to match up with the power of the Colts at this time.

I feel like Tom Brady has not been on a rest, I feel like he has disappeared. Sure, the past makes things look like the Colts are in for another disappointing end of the season to most football fans.  But have they been watching the Colts all season, or just looking at the scores the day after????  To truly understand what has happened after the thrashing takes place this weekend, you would truly have to be a Colts fan.

I can’t wait to read the stories of the fans on Monday. The stories asking the questions like “How could this have happened?”  “What happened to the Patriots?” when the answer has been lying right in front of them all week.  Unless the sky opens up in Massachusetts and dumps ice the size of footballs, the answer should have been clear to all the skeptics.  This is the real “Mismatch Made in Heaven”.

There can not be a better time for the Colts to walk all over this team.  The Patriots are in their worst week of injuries this season, missing Ty Law, possibly Richard Seymour, Tom Brady’s best friend off the field Randall GAY, and 3 other members of the secondary that are questionable.  The only thing that is on their side is the inclement weather that the East Coast has experienced this week.  Today, there is rain turning to snow from NJ to BOSTON, and the temperature is dropping from 60 degrees last night to 20 degrees this afternoon into the evening.  Good for the Patriots?????  Not really.  It would be in Coach B?s best interest to rethink covering the field at Gillette in my opinion.  It?s not like the Colts are going to be the only slow team on the field.

So here we go, into one of the best weekends of the year, and I have a feeling that on Sunday night the population of believers will have increased.

So, what goes best with Crow? Whiskey doesn't cut it, but I suppose Cianti won't dull the pain of yet another humiliating Colts defeat at the hands of the Patriots. Face it....you have an Arena Football team. Real football is played outdoors, with swirling winds, inconsistent temperatures, and varying field conditions. Not one touchdown. What a shame. Perhaps you needed to look at the Colts' playoff run during the 2003 season. Manning and the Colts were "unstoppable". They smacked the Broncs and the Chiefs, Manning had 8 td passes and zero interceptions, and the offense did not have to punt once in those first two games. What happened? The stop sign called Gillette Stadium. How naive can you be? To totally ignore the past year's season and then have the nads to say "The Pats don't stand a bit of a chance". Perhaps you should spend less time watching the Colts and spend more time watching the Patriots. We in NE watched every game the Pats played and knew full well what was going to happen to Manning. As far as the Jock Strap thing, Brady cannot carry Manning's jockstrap, mostly because the size of the SB rings prohibit it. Wait til next year bud....however I do feel that you will once again completly forget the past. Offense gets ratings, defense wins Championships.

despite some of your wishes, the masked fellow is not crying, nor is he dead.  You see, pain like this has been dealt with regularly by us Colts fans, so it is not worth crying about.  We may make the playoffs the next 10 seasons and never go any further; that is something that we will have to deal with.  I see the patriots making it out of Pittsburg, but I don't see them holding the trophy again, not because they aren't a good fottbal team, only because their fans suck.

Well guy, I'm sure you're still not done crying in your beer and eating pounds of crow...but you along with all sports media and big mouths have once again inserted your foot in mouth. Colts=Peyton Manning, Patriots = Football Team, it's that simple. In the post game show that is wthe point Boomer was trying to make to the other guys...football is a team sport and no single player is going to make or break a team and no team in the NFL is a finer example than the Pats and that is because of their leadership from the top down and enforced to the players by Belichek...no stupid comments to the press by anyone, they say nothing and I'm sure VanderShank wishes he followed that lead. Also , no "Defending Champs" bull, that was last season this is this season end of story and nobody wears a ring in New England. Next week will be a tough one for the Pats, as it would be for anyone going into Heinz Field, but you can bet you won't hear any trash talk from anybody in the Pats organization all week...and if the Steelers look to the Colts as an example you won't hear it from them either. Another of my favorite comments from Boomer in the post game, "Peyton Manning is going to be this generations Dan Marino" with Dan sitting right there ! Hilarious, give him all the MVP and records in the NFL but he won't ever have to give anybody his ring size unless he gets out of Indy. 20-3...what an embarassment.
