Feeling Chillin'

Today, I accept life on life’s terms.

“It takes a real storm in the average person's life to make him realize how much worrying he has done over the squalls.” - Unknown

Time and time again I hear myself saying, silently and out loud, how unfair life can be.  The truth of the matter is that this is a fact that I sometimes have a hard time accepting.  When I am not in acceptance of my circumstances, I have a tendency to stay in anger and resentment.  All this does is impede my serenity.  When I feel this way, it is time to accept life in all its pain and glory and get on with the joy of living instead of wallowing in an anguish of my own making.  In this and in many things in life, willingness is the beginning of acceptance which is the key to serenity.

“The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can’t find them, make them.” – George Bernard Shaw
