In The Begining Part 3

Sara awoke to a whole new world that included ostomy bags and no more food to eat.

She was in the hospital for, what seemed like, ages. She had to withdraw from her Master's Program (3 classes away from her degree).  She had to adjust to life back in her hometown.  She had to learn to live in this new life.  Pain was her constant companion.

Hope came to play in the promises of healing, reconstruction surgery, and a return to normal.  Grace popped up in the form of long and short term disability insurance (how many young, 20-something people have the foresight to purchase disability insurance?).

Sara had just purchased a new car.  Her very first, very new car that she bought as an adult.  She was proud of that little car.  New, sporty, good looking.  She returned home to it full of miles accrued driving back and forth to Birmingham for her father to visit her.

Her mother stayed by her side throughout the ordeal.
