Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig Part Bazillion

Ron & Sara got home this morning without any problems.  It was freezing here.  Stella went with me to the airport. I couldn't get anyone else out of bed.

Sara is always happy to see Stella, so it was good choice.  Sara seems to be feeling pretty good.  Her left hand is huge swollen.  It goes up & down.  The doctors seem to think that once her blood clots get situated and gone, the swelling will take care of itself.  Her right lower leg, ankle, and foot are quite swollen, too.  Sara said that the swelling always seems to be in opposite appendages.  I guess that some weird anatomy thing.

On another note, a new medical hypothesis is that quite possibly, the whole beginning of all of this, the loss of her small intestines, may have been caused by a blood clot, secondary to the gastric by-pass.

Sara can take showers now.  She has no ostomy bag.  Wow, it hardly seems possible.  It's not over.  In many respects, it'll never be over. But, it's almost weird knowing she has no ostomy and she's closer to being whole than she has been in a long, long time.  Now, we'll let God heal her emotionally from all of this, and life will be swell.
